That looks good...I don't see an error...you just need to wait at that point for it to finish....or is there an error message you didn't attach?

 

Getting the TSB update now just incase I ever want to flash back to stock.. 1.05 can’t come soon enough though!

 

same here on the northstar...

also, just like when flashing the tune, turn off lights, ac, interior lights, radio... unplug anything electric like 12v or usb plugs.

 

I average about 20 mpg or more

 

Error message just said something like it failed and couldn’t continue. Then I tried again and it wouldnt connect.

Tried to start the truck and it just cranked and cranked.

I’ve flashed all versions of OVTune so im very familiar with the process. Laptop was isolated from internet and all running programs.

Luckily, Matt said i could use PCM flash to write the stock file, even when it didn’t identify .

 

Me personally...I'd try it again, but I'm a gamblin' man. The physical connection is VERY sensitive. I was flashing one time and bumped my laptop and it was enough to cause the flash to stop (this was OVtune, not Techstream, but they both use the same physical connection)...any chance you moved the laptop/cable while it was flashing?

 

It seems like you're doing all the right things. Sorry bud I don't have anything to add.

 

Steady as a rock. Only thing I’m thinking is that I didn’t start the truck prior to flashing to give the battery a charge. I’ve never done this before with OVTune and figured it was ok with Techstream.

Going to try again with a trickle charge after a drive.

Now, I just roll down the window and put the laptop on my bed rack so there's no chance of touching anything and I'm not sitting in the truck with the potential of wiggling something loose!

 

One time I flashed it in my lap.

I ran one version (I believe 1.03) that was so bad, the truck felt like it was going to explode.

It idled fine, I pulled out the driveway and it was KINDA rough. When I got up to 30ish, the entire truck shook and it was terrible.

Pulled over and flashed back to 1.02 with the laptop in my lap.

That’s why I bring everything with me the first few drives!

Thank you. That is what my dealer said as well. TSB is optional if you’re experiencing the issues it’s for. Sorry for being paranoid, but I’m actually keeping my truck because it’s paid off and I don’t want to screw it up
