Will do. The battery box is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow so I should be able to get it fitted and cut this weekend.

Yessir. They’re cut out quite a bit and the tires still rub on them occasionally, but I like the look and the tire coverage (what little they offer).

Installed the HD trans mount this morning. Easy install with a floor jack. The new mount is awesome. Thicker steel and uses spring bushings to damp vibes but they really aren't that effective. Way more felt vibration from the motor now at idle. Driving you don't notice other that I can tell that the drivetrain isn't lashing around like it was before. Very happy with the new mount.

Comparison of the broken mount and HD unit.

Who makes them? I haven't found them yet. Still learning the Taco since this is my first one. My daughter had a 1991 pickup with the 3.0. Great truck other than the motor. I didn't really do anything with that tho since it wasn't mine.

You should do poly mount engine mounts now that the tranny is poly mounted. Trail gear makes some called the Bomb Proof mounts. They are a good match for this tranny mount.

I use to run poly aluminum mounts in my civic back then. Man, you can totally feel the vibration of the motor. but it felt very stable and strong.

Cool, thanks for the info. I didn't know anyone was making the motor mounts. Yes, I definitely want to replace those as I do plan on getting this truck off road eventually. Just trying to make sure all the important shit is good to go first!

i have them both. The vibes are minimal I think for the trade off of the instant torque feel. Plus I can tell you it vibrates a lot less than a busted rubber motor mount haha

Well then when you get hardcore @bozen makes super beefy mounts. Im swapping my TG motor mounts and the 4xi tranny mount to his.

I really need to do those.

Been thinking of doing so, but would want to beef up the mount mount perchs and frame in the area at the same time. And that sounds like a big project.

I've gotten better and welding upside down, but how the hell do you even get in there with a MIG gun? Pull the front diff?
