It does come with body matched mirrors covers. PO (I just bought the truck used 13 days ago) had it swapped for some reason.

Fender flares I actually prefer unmatched. Gives it a sufficient amount of contrast IMO.

I have been heavily considering these. How do you like them? Are they scratchy or soft? I tend to wear shorts and a tank top a lot and want something nice feeling.

Snowed when I was there in '73. Cars in bayous along the feeders, going sideways through stop signs. It was a circus!

On a stock wheel you probably could get away with it but with the offset of the SCS wheels a lift is most likely needed.

I love how they have to put "MOUNT ONLY ON 17" RIM" actually molded into the tire side wall on a tire that clearly has the size on it already, because you know some idito put a tire on the wrong size wheel at some point and sued them for it. LOL:facepalm:

Fluid Film on the whole underside in preparation for winter, it was my first time and man I'm glad I wore a Tyvek suit. Also did the A/C drain mod and dipped the badges. IMG_20181101_160519.jpg IMG_20181101_182116.jpg

Can you go in detail about how you did your badge dips?

Bone stock for now, stay tuned..........
Well, technically I didn't do anything to my Taco today, but these were waiting for me when I got home today!

    Tires.jpg

This Saturday they'll be mounted and balanced and the truck will get aligned, Can't wait! Ebay sale with the $100 off coupon made these tires VERY affordable!

    Sure thing.

I took some blue painters taped and masked off an area about 1" around the emblem. Then I took computer paper and masked around that to catch over spray (not always necessary, I live in KS and the wind picks up out of nowhere). Then I sprayed 2 light coats of dip, 2 heavy coats with one top/bottom spray angle and then one angled left and right (basically spray from every angle to cover the sides), and then I did 2 coats of gloss but they're optional, I just thought a glossy emblem would look good on my color. 5 minutes between coats and then about 30 minutes when your done, then just peel it off carefully. You can remove letter interiors with a toothpick and if you screw up no problem! I actually didn't get a clean edge when I pulled away my "V6" so I just peeled it all off and started over (Pictures are from my re-spray). Also, you can remove over-spray with goo gone and some light rubbing.IMG_20181101_193619.jpg

Thank you for going in detail with your procedure. I think they come out exceptionally well. I believe I am going to try to do the same with my badging. Not sure if I will pull the badges all the way off and actually dip them or if I will take your Tips and try to come up with something on the lines of hours. Regardless, I think they look very nice with the color of your truck. Good job and thank you again for the details.
