    Only the best.
Tires- falken at3w is a good one as stated (loved mine).

Skids and sliders (just in case) check out @Mobtown Offroad for some of the best on the market.

Some simple recovery equipment is always a good idea. Dont need much. A comealong and some straps will (with work) get you outta more than you think they would. And traction boards.

I would recommend getting a tire with a 3 ply sidewall if you’re spending time off-road.

I have the xbulls off of ebay, I prefer to buy american but for $65 I had to try them out. They seem to be durable but only time will tell. A lot of reviews out there on them.

That’s a good plan. If you are doing mild stuff just knowing where your delicate bits underneath so you know where to point the tires are priceless. If you go with people having a way to attach a strap or having a strap yourself is priceless. OR have a front tow hook. If you have a hitch in the rear you can buy a pin and use that. Don’t be afraid to stop, get out and look to see what’s underneath you and what you might catch on. Seeing over our hoods is a PITA.

I’m interested in some undercarriage protection, what would you reccomend? A few hundred bucks seems awesome and better than a lift and bigger tires to get more clearance

I’ve done off roading on some that looked like the second picture with a stock OR. I don’t want to do that often, but I took my time and it worked fine. The tires never slipped. I only lightly tapped the exhaust under the transfer case once when going over a shelf. I was surprised how well it did.

I purchased RCI metalworks front and transmission skid plates, in steel. Installed 'em my self, no problems, way more beefy than the stock plates. And You can use the code ''tw" on checkout to get a discount :)

Thanks for the “tw” discount! Just bought the transfer case skid plate from RCI, exactly what I was looking for!! The undercarriage will be fully protected now.

Yep. Just this and a tent, bag, stove, cooler. None of that "overland" bs needed to do what it really is, camping and exploring.
