Man, the sport rims look so much better with an aggressive tire. I almost regret insisting they swap mine for OR’s when I purchased.

There is a company on CL near me that has a wrap special...I think like $200 or so to wrap the wheels in just about any color.

    Reasons to change:
    • Taller overall
    • bead locks
    • Different look
    Reasons to not change:
    • Taller overall (rubbing etc.)
    • May need new tires as well.
    • Cost
I like the American Outlaw Patrol from Discount tire. Very reasonably priced. They make good looking matte wheels.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Thing is, I can’t find anything I like out there
    for the 3rd Gen.

a little firmer then I expected with the billies , before the billies it was like stock with the lift because its a spacer lift, billies and lift combined , much stiffer ride

No rubbing at all. The pros have an extra inch of front suspension and with the negative offset of the pro rims allows no rubbing. I was a reluctant believer so I first purchased 265s but decided to give the 285s a chance after going on a test ride with a pro with 285s on stock suspension. I went full lock in reverse and it felt good so I bought a set the next day. I am very pleased so far and not sure how they would perform in extreme off road conditions but mud, snow and some off roading is all I plan to do with my truck.

    I’m with you guys!

I just traded in my 4Runner which I had leveled and added 285s and new wheels. While it looked awesome, my MPG took a HUGE nose dive. I know there are the “If you want good MPG- drive a Prius” people out there- but since this is my only vehicle- MPGs do, in fact matter. I learned my lesson and will not dream of bigger tires or any upgrade that sends my MPG down the shitter.

@StayinStock Are those the Predator step rails with the steps ground off? I have thought of doing that exact thing since they are really just in my way.

Yes. My buddy ground them off and I brushed them with Rustoleum bedliner. The steps always caught me in the back of the leg but I wanted something there.20180430_185828.jpg 20180508_094204.jpg

    @StayinStock Yessirr!:thumbsup:
I'm not a body / metal guy by any stretch, so pardon my ignorance, but what is the white "paste?" for at the ground off areas. I assume something to protect the aluminum after grinding and before you coated them. I might just try this myself as yours turned out fantastic!
