1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

A guy in my neighborhood has one. I always got it confused with Miata as a kid. Would be fun to drive.

 

They're pretty fun, definitely the most unique looking and most confusing for layout

 

i want an MR2 one day... the 3rd gens ugly as sin, but man the only car that tops it that ive driven is the lotus elise

 

The Ariel Atom and the Lotus Esprit would both be fun, so would the MR2 SW20

 

3rd gens drive nicer stock. but a 2nd gen mr2 is what i'll buy if i do buy one... (then 2gr-fe swap with some hotter cams)

 

A lotus would be sweet, they seem so fun to drive. I'd imagine they're decent cars too being a Toyota motor

 

Ariel atom or a caterham superlight would be my top 2 "fun to drive" dream cars

i keep toying around the idea of buying one when the trucks running. ive gotva little bit of cash ive saved slowly over the years from side jobs thats going to be a down payment on some kind of sport car

 

hmm random question.. i assume your little door puddle light controller would work with the aftermarket mirror covers yes? just some simple wiring...

I drove an older Miata once and I berely fit in it but it was fun too

 

I've always wanted an Isuzu Impulse turbo aka Geo Storm turbo. Lotus made the suspension and I don't recall if Isuzu outsourced the engine or not, but I want to say for some reason Yamaha and Toyota are.coming to mind... it's just a little hot hatch from the late 80s early 90s with a small turbo. Some minor wrenching and that thing could be dope af. Plus it's kinda rare. Oh and AWD.

I'd like to trade it for an 03-04 auto with transfer case. Cash I'll have to think about that one.
