I can understand that. Most likely if they’re not pretty some smart ass would come on here and guve you crap. Onthe other hand, somebody who knows may be able to offer some constructive criticism. Anyway, kudos to you for makeing the effort. I would have it checked out though if you have any doubts as that is structural and you don’t want to run the risk of any kind of accident.

Added something new to me to the truck today. I got a drawer setup for the bed of my truck. It fits cleanly under the tonneau cover, and holds all the gear I need it to. I’ll keep it in there for the winter months, when I typically don’t use the bed of the truck for much. It’s easy to get in and out as it fits perfectly between the tailgate and the wheel wells. I took this out of a cruiser that we just retired! As for the foam, that’s temporary, until I put a divider board in there! Figured I’d post this here as well as my build lol

Nothing special, I just recently learned of rivet nuts. So I used some to replace the stripped out holes in my bumper for the license plate. Also thinking these will be good to replace the terrible plastic retaining clips, that break 95% of the time you remove them around trim.

 

What did you use to hold the driveshaft with when you torqued the halves back together?

 

Disassembled and rebuilt one new axle and one used axle for my truck that hopefully will go on in the next week or two.
Also when cutting axles make sure to take enough off or you have to do it again....and again until it rotates out....

 

What sized tires? I wanted those wheels but I heard they wouldn't fit 285s very well

Riv Nuts are Great!! Love them, try the Hex ones for a little better grip if you need it.
