Ooooh, nice bucket mouths! I may buy another portable this year myself. I still have that hub shanty shown above, but I really want a big flip over that I can use as a sleeper. Like a 3 person.

Yes sir. Been coming here for far too long now.

They only had 1 lift, 1peak, maybe ~8 "trails". I was able to ski from the top to bottom without having to walk so I'd say it's decent. Conditions were honestly better than some days I've been out in the middle of the season.

    Morning all. Happy rainy Friday...
Hopefully tomorrow is a little drier; it'd be nice not to hunt soaking wet for a change

The jacket is one of the new magic 100% waterproof synthetics, but it doesn't do anything for my hands or legs. My wool pants keep my legs warm even when they're soaked, but that doesn't help the sensation of water running down my legs into my boots, lol. :rain:

Hunting in fresh snow (or still falling snow) is the bomb. Muffled sound, easy tracking, and you're not soaked.

Haha as long as it's not actively snowing like a bastard. I agree though

Meh. When it's snowing hard you HAVE to walk, though, because they'll just find some shelter and stay put. So if you bounce one the tracks will stay obvious enough for easy tracking even when it's snowing like crazy. What screws you is if there's any sort of wind that keeps the snow in the air, because they'll hear or smell you long before you'll see them if the flakes are getting stirred around instead of just dropping straight down.

I think now for the past month to month and a half every single day I've had off and had time to work outside it has rain.

The rage is real. I haven't mowed in a month, my truck still needs to be Fluid Filmed and I need to prep the house for winter.

I took next Tuesday off because the wife is off due to Election Day, but the baby is at daycare so we'll be able to grab some lunch and get stuff done at home, and again, rain.

The weather hasn't cooperated lately on the weekends for yardwork. I'm hoping by noon on Sunday things will be dry enough for me to mow and do another round of leaves. Doesn't help that it will be getting dark earlier, so there won't be enough daylight for me to make any sort of progress during the week after work.

Precisely. I get all of the leaves in my town (or so it seems) and the last non-rainy day I had off I spent 4 hours mowing my front yard with all of the stupid leaves (it usually takes me 1.25 hours to do my whole yard) and I ran out of daylight.

I haven't even touched my Mom's house since September, it's brutal.
