If you don’t mind can you measure from the ground to the bottom of your fender? For the front ome880 and nitrochargers. Thanks. And also the rear!

Rear right after install, it's come down a bit since then.
And how it sits with a topper, no meaningful weight in the bed:

 

What size tire are you running? Because I’m at 36in with stock spring and 265/70/16 and if I go to 39 I’m sure it’ll look silly

It looked weird at first, especially with the rake before I got weight in the back to break in the dakars. I'm real happy with how it looks now.

You beat me to it. I'll post mine tomorrow anyway but you're truck sits exactly as mine does although, in addition to the topper I have 360lbs of sand bags in the bed and probably another 100 lbs of misc. stuff. Mine sits level.

 

Did you get new upper control arms? How high of lift is your kit?

 

still stock. supposed to be ~2.5 over stock height, I got a lot of lift especially in the back compared to the worn out stock stuff.

 

Mine is 37" up front from ground to center of wheel well and 36.5 " in the rear. I have about 500 lbs on the back including the topper.
OME 880's up front. Nitrochargers all the way around and Deaver J59 leafs. 245/75/R16 tires. 2004 RC 2.7.

 

How do you like the front ome setup? For the back I got a AAL AND ICON 2.0.

 

I have no problems with it at all. It does ride a little stiff for me but it's a truck, not a Cadillac. Furthermore, I found out after I installed it that the OME is really designed for the weight of V-6's so it stands to reason that it would be stiffer with an RC. If I added a plate bumper I bet it would be just right.

 

So a full OME setup was recommended in my other thread, but wanted to get this threads opinion. Truck is a pre-runner DC V6 (non-trd), full time camper shell & 100lbs of scuba weights are in the bed almost all the time, still running its from factory suspension 200k mi later it's failing. Thinking the wheeler package with 880s. Don't want much lift, 1.5" or less would be ideal. Mostly concerned about on road manners, until i do my 4x4 conversion only the rare fire road. Would the 880s be a good fit for me? Anything I need to add/change for the rear?

maybe just get an AAL for rear and a spacer for the front. that shouldn't be too prohibitively expensive and you get a slight bump in looks and performance. just my .02

 

The Dakars will give you at least 2 inches of lift. I have the Dakars on my single cab, with a shell and 150# of tools in the back. Worlds better in handling over the worn out stockers, and I can really load up the back with no adverse handling issues. I have a bit of rake with 5100s in the front, set at the highest setting, with stock replacement springs in front. I don't mind the lift, but I would like to level out the front a bit, so I'm installing 881s in the front soon. If that doesn't work for me I might take on of the helper springs out in the rear packs, there are two in the set that I got, from Wheelers.

I would def replace the entire rear leafs, as they are more than likely completely worn out, and get new hardware, etc. If you don't want much of a lift, there are alternative replacements that will handle a greater load than stock, with less lift. Then go with a replacement set of springs like I did, from Rock Auto:

These are the ones I used, roughly the same length as stock, but with a higher, constant spring rate. With 5100s on high I got about 2.25" of lift in the front, but with a 2.7 and regular cab, you might get less with a heavier truck.

I'm hoping the 881s with the shocks set at low or medium will give me a bit more lift, to level the front of my truck out more. Otherwise I'm happy with the handling and ride so far, I am running E rated 285/85r16s which are pretty heavy.

 

yeah i've been reading quite a bit on here. getting ready install OME dakars in the rear and billy's with 881's in front. my front coilovers are pretty worn but i didn't realize just how badly till i read your post. my top 4 coils are actually touching or maybe 1/8" apart.
