Dropping 4 gallons of water for the Southbound AZ Trail hikers tomorrow about 8 miles NW of Mt Ord. The SOBO group is somewhere around Pine so should be good timing. I can use some good karma right now, bad news just keeps rolling in. Wife's biopsy came back positive for thyroid cancer, my MRI shows a small tear in one of my tendons and a decent sized bone spur on my heel.

Doing my best, feel like if I can't be out there hiking the trail I can at least throw some support towards the SOBO group while I am down. Wife's situation isn't great but not as bad as it could be. Thyroid is not as critical as most other types of cancer so while I hate saying it but if shes gonna get diagnosed with it that is the one I would rather it be.

If it helps, both my mother and one of my uncles had thyroid cancer, and once removed/chemo/radiation they both are living normal lives, 20+ years later. I don’t know about my uncle but I know my mom just has to take a pill everyday to help regulate things.

Man, I’ll keep you and the wife in my prayers. That’s a tough day to get through.

In other news, I hate my rental car and can’t wait to get my taco back. I’m in a Chevy Malibu. Hunk o’ crap.

Thanks @Enjoihavok and @Dudeman86 Wife situation is ok and as you said a fairly easy fix in the grand scheme of things, certainly could be a whole lot worse.

@Dudeman86 you still on track to get the rig back next week? Any luck on the diminished value front?
