That's as far as I understand it, only needed if you're parking.

I would like to join! Although, I don't have comms. Would I still be able to tag along? Is there somewhere I could get a radio that would be compatible with most (brick and mortar store)?

I have a small, portable ARB compressor w/ 20ft hose.

I still trying to figure out the whole Communications thing myself lol. My radios are all gmrs, I don't have time to pick up a multi band from Amazon before Saturday. Although my dad has lots of radios so if I know what frequency you guys are using I can probably borrow one of his. Honestly I'm not that familiar with radios are you guys using ham or CB ? Or if your radios are multiband maybe you could just change to gmrs for the day.

You don't need a radio, it just makes it easier, esp in the summer when you are following further back to stay out of the dust and make all the correct turns.

We will definitely use a GMRS frequency.

This is the whole route from my neck of the woods, but includes the generally direct, very DD friendly FSs between Easton and Greenwater:
    https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27204759

There is only about 30mi of dirt with some spectacular scenery. It sounds like @RChristopherSven 's idea will be an expansion of this?

    Hey, Folks.

I edited the OP to add the last bunch of interested folks, the meet up, and the general route idea.

@ysbohle : Have you decided on coming along? No big deal, just curious.

Any commments or suggestions on those ideas? Everyone cool?

Since @PacNW_Taco has AoB, it won't get my tank topped off. There should be enough air in there to get at least a couple folks back up to pressure.

I'll bring several extra radios to share then. I also bring a fast compressor with me for tires.

Not sure how to post a copy of the route I'm thinking of Google Maps doesn't work well Forest Service Roads and Jeep trails. I'll try to write up a more detailed route for you guys to look at , maybe we can go over the final details during breakfast tomorrow. I'm trying to stay more east of the area then the trip for the 17th. Obviously there is always a little improvising. You never know when a gate is going to be closed or road washed out things don't always work out as intended , that's part of the fun.

@gnardoggie and @ThisGuyQ, I know I've seen you guys rolling around in this area before. Any interest in joining us tomorrow, or on the 17th?

Check out ridewithgps.com. You can sign up, plan, and share for free. Plus being able to dump files to other types like GPX and KML. It works similar to gmaps, but allows for easier offroad planning and sharing.

One really nice benefit for ridewithgps is that it can flip the route if you want run it backwards.

Using the free route converter program:
    https://www.routeconverter.de/home/en
You can then convert and transfer it to most any device or navi app.

We can certainly chat about the plan and a couple quick tips for folks to not miss turns and such while in a group.

Thanks for the tip I'll check out route converter. How late are you guys planning on staying out Saturday? I got several friends interested in possibly riding along with me that wanted to know. Doesn't really matter to me personally.

That's too bad, next time then. It still looks like we're going to be three rigs strong.

    So looks like we have:
    - 5 rigs
    - meeting place and time
    - general route decided with at least one person who knows what the hell is going on
    - someone with comms
    - someone with on board air

    This is gonna be sick
