Dont really agree with this because you can stack stats by your schedule. Houston, boise state, Hawaii awhile back all had QBs that would win Heisman off stats alone. The Heisman to me should go to the best player on a top tier team that made the most impact for his team. Stats should definitely be part of the equation but by no means the deciding factor in my opinion.

I had no idea who RG3 was when he won it, I don't recall his team being a top tier team

Christian McCaffrey was a hands down obvious should have won the year he got 2nd to Henry. That's the best example over recent years.

I don't disagree. I think some of the awards are supposed to be differentiated by that as like most outstanding or most valuable but they usually award the same guy those awards it seems.

He was in a big 5 conference at least and the year he won they had 3 losses and won the season opener over a top 15 TCU team I beleive. Still.more relevant than the others I mentioned

Jackson was a freak though..I think he could be been even better with a good team around him but when he faced defenses he folded.

Worst part about Heisman is its damn near impossible for a defense guy to.win due to stat significance and persona of an offensive award. even though he maybe the most dominant player in college football at the time

Like I said earlier in this thread

The Heisman is a joke and not nearly what it used to and is supposed to represent

Supposed to have a moral/ethical part to it too but yet FSUs finest Jameis Crablegs Winston took it home too

It won’t matter. You’ll still make the CFP. I just think at that point Clemson doesn’t really have anything to play for and happens to slip up, like Pitt or Syracuse. And BC isnt just a terribly awful team.

"Doesn't have anything to play for"???

I think they would beg to differ with you, especially the ones who decided to stay another year to finish what they started. There are several on that team who I think this season is more important than any other they have ever played.

Not in that game. They’re going to the CFP. They have no reason to get excited about Boston college

He threw 4 ints in the bowl game vs Miss State :anonymous:. DeShaun was the best player. The only reason Jackson (oops-typo) won was ESPeen pushed it and hyped him like some superstar. But we all know he wasn’t.

The Heisman will be whomever espn wants it to be. How does a corner back win it? Yep, by continually running highlights of a couple ints. A cornerback They are deciding who gets invited & voted in.

This is a soap box subject. I rest my case, as it’ll fall on deaf ears.

I’d rather play BC than LSU or Bama every year.

Right on @stronghammer me to. Honey Badger was a defensive player that could’ve won it...well he got caught tho :rasta:

But still an example of a defensive difference maker, that changed the outcome of many games.

Honey badger was definitely one of the biggest game impact players I've ever seen. His ball awareness and ability to be everywhere was unnatural at LSU

Looks like it'll be a short stay in the rankings for UVA
