Ok I'm waking this one up from the dead for a minute cause something is cooking my brain. It seems odd to me that the inside latch is not working, the electrical/locks ARE working, yet the outside handle for some reason also does not work.

If anybody comes across this thread I wonder if pulling on the inside AND outside might take out even more slack since it seems that both handles connect to the same thing. Maybe? Did anybody try that?

Thank F'ng Cripe for this thread. I just the same stupid thing when installing speakers and sound deadening on my access cab  The passenger door would not open and when I hit the lock/unlock on the fob or drivers door, the inside handle of the passenger door would "flutter". When I manually tried to open the passenger door, it would not catch and thus would not open.

I did what SideWinder4x4 suggested, keep pressing the unlock button on the fob and at the same time rapidly try to open the door from the outside many times over and over. After a few tries is caught and the door opened. SideWinder4x4 - thank you

I've got the door fixed properly now.
