Plus airing down makes the ride 100x more comfortable....doing a trail at 30+ psi is back breaking

 

Can you recommend a good tire? I'm 99% city driving. I chose the KO2's for one reason, and one reason only. I liked the tread pattern.

 

I wanted the rough ride. That's why I didn't air down.

Lol I never had traction issues on dry trails with my KO2s that I don't also have with my Coopers, but I will agree that they can be aired down real low without worry. I had mine at 6 - 8psi in sand dunes and they were fine

Ditto, minus the one sidewall I blew out on a fire road. But other than that they've held up great on some pretty tough trails for me

 

For light use like you do I'd have a set of Duratracs on there in C range.

Just a good reasonable tire that last decently and grips while it's doing it. Some folks claim sidewall thickness is an issue with them but the same is constantly said about BFGs too.

 

Those look nice. I'll consider those when these KO2's need replacing.

 

Those KO2s might make it 4 more presidencies as the rubber compound could be used to cut diamonds.

They'll develop a balancing issue before the tread wears out and you'll be happy to toss them on a fire.

 

My old ones lasted for fucking ever. But sucked off-road

 

I was taught to replace my tires every five years, so 2022 I’ll be getting some new ones.

 

When Miguel and I were at the Hollister Hills SVRA, a gang of freakin’ brand new high optioned Tundras showed up.

They don’t even fit on 75% of the trails.

 

Hence the reason we laugh at second gens too.

 

I still wonder if that is a tundra world gang lol

 

Now that you mention it...I had a nasty freeway vibration with mine that went away when I got the Coopers.

 

I have a nasty ass shake rn. I wonder if that rock bent the carrier bearing
