Thanks Barry. The rough dimensioning was done with a buddy's table saw and thickness planer. Everything else was done by hand. The only shot I have shows how I shaped the underside of the table. Relief cuts, chisel, then plenty of hand plane work. It was surprisingly easy to taper and shape the legs by hand, especially since they only have to 'appear' to be the same. If someone wants to get down there and measure, more power to them.

Thanks @Bman4X5. Nice work. Guess I just need to take the leap and give it a try. I hear you about the fact they don't have to be exactly identical. That's a good point.

Tried out some new Bessey clamps yesterday. I like the clamping pressure they can put on stuff. Then Today I tried to run the piece through my planer. Apparently the blades werent as sharp as I thought ;) Broke my test piece it 3 pieces. But I re-glued it and going to run it through again tomorrow with new blades :)

I really like Bessey, great clamps. The older ones are pretty stout and can be had on ebay for a lot cheaper than new. I'm a big fan of their parallel clamps

When i did my garage floor with epoxy, they warned you to mix it and get it spread out on the floor. If not it would harden in 4 min. they weren't kidding. when we were done, there was a little left in the bucket. I didn't think anything of it and put the lid on it and set it aside. 5 min later the bucket was about to explode. it had bulged out because of all the heat. I quickly grabbed a knife and released the pressure. It almost melted the bucket and was hard in 5 min.

i have 4 of the older bessey's that are 48" and i have 4 jhorgenson's that are 24" long. They are well worth the price, expecially if you can find them on sale.

Yeah I got a couple 24" at home depot. Better priced there than at woodcraft by about $15 I saved at home depot!

Harbor freight had some knock off clamps but they didnt seem like they would hold up. In some cases I like to save some money but in this case its better to go with quality vs price.

I have always used 8" sets, had really good luck with Freud..not too pricey but not cheap either. The case the new ones come in suck though

Personally, I run a Forrest set that was bought used. Awesome stack but I never recommend it because the sticker price new usually gives people a heart attack

Yeah, I would love a Forrest but making do with a Freud for now. I usually have to clean cuts up with a chisel or shoulder plane. It's pretty rough right off the saw.

    Thank you

I was originally but didn't want it to look gimmicky.

    44.5 x 23 x 2.5 inches. 70.2 lbs I thought it was heavier.
