Uhhh yeah you may have fucked up your driveshaft lol.

Surprisingly, in all my wheeling trips I've never once tagged my driveshaft.

Did @Sperrunner do that? I'm surprised it's spelled correctly :p

I asked this on the 1st Gen thread too.

I'm having a hard time finding a spare with a mounted tire size of 265/75R16, which I have on my truck. Would a spare with a 265/70R16 be okay to use? Only difference is the aspect ratio difference of 70 vs. 75

I used Pirate when I had my 1985 truck. There's a lot of comedy gold in the off topic area

Your vibration might just be rocks in your tread or dirt accumulated in the wheels...it doesn't take much to throw off the balance and create vibes esp at freeway speeds

It would only be okay if you put the mismatched wheels up front while in 2wd ideally

When I blew the sidewall on my 33" Cooper, I only had a 32" spare which we moved to the front so the rears matched at least, but I still needed 4WD to finish the rest of our trip that weekend off and on. Made me nervous but it was okay in the end, but ideally you do not want to run mismatched tire sizes on your drive wheels especially on the street. Will wreak havoc on your gears.

of course it's better than not having a spare at all, so if you have to then try to make the rear (drive) wheels match and put the smaller tire up front

Hmm. I might just have to shell out money for a generic 265/75R16 tire and have it mounted. Thought I could kill two birds with one stone and get the 3rd Gen spare already mounted.

I made the stupid mistake of using Moog parts on a MINI Cooper S. With in a 1000 miles the front strut bearings were junk. I first thought it was installer error, nope the rubber was so soft that they sagged so much that the upper spring mount was touching. I threw the sway bar links in the trash after a 100 miles because they rubbed on the front axles. I'm not sure what Moog was thinking, but they made them thicker like that was needed.
