Well, shop refused an alignment on my truck because they said the inner/outer tie rods had too much play and it would be pointless.

So.. go oem Toyota on the inner/outers? Or autozone?

Total price difference for both is about $220.. just don’t want to have to warranty the autozone ones 6 months down the road

Inner and outer rods I've had good luck with from 555, the ones on LROR are a good value.

    Too many, See Build

I gave mine a good weld all around....my first tack welds broke and slop was back

I have o'reillys otr's. Every 6 months a swap them for new ones...no questions asked. And i have a lifetime alignment.

Did brakes and rotors today....today was my last trip to this shop i have dealt with in the past...they said they would turn the rotors since they warped within 2 months......when i arrived, the dude at the counter said it would be 3 hours before he could resurface them....told me it only takes 10 minutes tops....i told him to hit them up real quick...nope.....FUCK THEM! Glad i will never go back to them again

Oh...and i brought the rotors in myself since i did the labor on my own. So pissed at them.....went and bought me some new damn rotors

Cool thank you. I’ll look into them.. parts were almost $500 on camelback

Also do you know if a hose clamp will fit on the inner part of that plastic accordion sleeve deal? To avoid messing with the inner Toyota clamp

I know one will fit on the outer just not sure about the inner

Thanks. I’ve got a lifetime alignment also but they still wouldn’t do it because “it didn’t meet there requirements” or something

I guess they aren’t too bad to change.

I put a wrench on the flats and tried to get mine to break free by rotating each direction and it didn't budge. So glad this is done!

I'm having a hard time finding a spare with a mounted tire size of 265/75R16, which I have on my truck. Would a spare with a 265/70R16 be okay to use? Only difference is the aspect ratio difference of 70 vs. 75

I mean it would probably be fine if you swapped it to the front. But you can also search for 235/85/16 which is a common commercial size

My worry is also the backspacing of the wheel to fit my Tundra calipers, which is why I'm looking for the common 3rd Gen spare with the aforementioned tire size.

Just get any 16" 1st or second gen spare wheel and shove a tire that works on there. 265/75/16 or 235/85/16 or something else with the same outer diameter. Also look up how tire sizes work so I don't have to keep explaining this, I'm running out of creative ways to phrase it

Get gen spares are cheap and work with tundra brakes, I’m sure they’re pretty common down in that place you call home.

I understand the tire size difference between the two, I was just wondering about the 70 v. 75 aspect ratio difference would be permissible.

    I'll be on the lookout.

Well the aspect ratio affects total diameter, so here's your answer

It wouldn't be considered a fullsize spare and I wouldn't travel long or fast like that

3rd Gen spare steelies are plentiful, and have the same backspacing as my 3rd gen TRD OR wheels. They come with the 265/70R16 tire mounted to it already. However, the aspect ratio on my KO2's are 75 not 70.

Very well. I'll be on the lookout for a steelie and just buy a new tire to be safe.

Go buy a cheap tire and swap them.

    This isn’t rocket science
