i saw this while at the Sema show this week. It was the 2018-2019 Toyota Hilux Truck 4 door. Not sure what engine was in it as I didn’t see the info sheet. I know you can’t get one here but I liked it a lot better than the 2018 model in the states. Wish I had took more pictures of the inside and such.

Probably better built but late model Hiluxs have always looked funny to me.

I think of them as Toyota's Ridgeline.

Haha. The last one reminds me of the new Colorado.

Looks just like the TRD Pro Hilux I saw at a Toyota dealer in the Philippines. Retails for $30k USD. That’s as expensive as they get.

    $1,500,000 Piso's is a bit too much.

    It’s only about $30k.

    Turbodiesel is cool.

I would say 90% of the trucks in the Philippines, and most of Southeast Asia have a rollbar or some sort of built in rollbar as part of the truck. It’s a very common design choice over there.

Functionality wise, they’re bolted to the bed like a headache rack.

Give me an early 90’s late 80’s Hilux. There’s no way I’m driving a new one they are so ugly.

It’s funny a lot of these foreign trucks look just like the Hilux. The Nissan Navara, Isuzu Pickups, etc.

Even the Ford Ranger is starting to look like the Hilux.

Shoot I like those rock sliders (?) or running boards though, wonder if you can get them in states, and wonder if they bolt up to a 3rd gen taco

Yea it drives me nuts when I see these in Japan. Last time I went I seen a current gen tundra an a couple 3rd gen Tacoma’s. I talked to a few of the drivers of them cause they live in my wife’s area and they said to bring the Tacomas over it was close to 60k and the tundra was close to 70k. But being in Iraq and Afghanistan solidified my love for those hilux’s. Those things went through hell and still kept ticking.

I mean it would be 125 and trucks carrying a bed full of dudes and gear would zoom up the roads no problem
