I went from a 2015 TRD Sport 6ft bed, blacked out with all the pro appearance parts installed, to a 2018 TRD Pro blacked out... would buy it again a few times over! BUT, WITHOUT THAT SNORKEL ON THE NEW ONE!

Most things were not noticed until I got the truck home and could crawl underneath. The hood prop I knew about and wrote it off to one of the things I didn't like about the truck. When I got the truck home and saw all of the other things that an auto manufacturer should have come into the 21st century with, it got a bit overwhelming, especially for a truck of this price. Probably the biggest joke on a 4wd truck is the skid plate.

Love everything about my Taco except the engine/transmission. That is the dealbreaker and why I wouldnt buy it again. Its such a shame because everything else is exactly what I am looking for.

I had mine since mid May and am very pleased with it so far. Yes, I would purchase it again as I feel it's the best mid size truck out there for the money. I test drove a Colorado and it did not make me want to trade in my 05 taco for it, but the 18 TRD impressed me and still does.

I just bought mine 1 month ago but sure why not add another debt for a great truck.

I want to love this truck.
I love the way it looks, the feel and function of the interior, then I start it and have to drive it.

The driveability is terrible. Even after the update. It is disappointing to find myself cruising dealerships again just 2 months (and 8.4 million shifts)down the road.

I knew exactly what I was getting so yes, I'd do it again. Doesn't mean it's perfect in every way but closer than anything else available.

My thoughts exactly. The transmission leaves much to be desired. I would have lived with it simply due to the cost of trading it off so soon. But the kazoo sound I'm getting is something I can't live with. Gonna have to make a change here.

Got a 2018 DCLB 4x4 super white trd sport. If i had the chance to do it over, I think I would go Manual Trans and make my wife learn to drive stick better. Thanks god it has the ECT button cuz then it's tolerable. But I would also maybe switch to the Off road, cuz the locker was nice in my last tacoma but only used it twice the whole 6 years I had it. But I don't like the 16'' wheels and black plastics. My sport looks really Slick in white and I love it. So I would say go back and grab a stick......can't say for sure if I'd go OR.

Ha ha Ha thats funny :). lol I wish she could get a better job. We are looking. Right now our plan is in April to downgrade. Im looking for an older tacoma with just the right amount of miles and price. I only have 7000 mils on my truck. But we will see what happens.

The drivability is my biggest gripe. Other than missing the size of a full-sized, but that’s comparing apples to oranges.

The kazoo? The whistle from lower control arms? Or is yours with the mirrors or door seals? I’ve heard it a few times but to me it’s very faint. I’ve said before though we all have different hearing and some sounds and frequencies really get to certain people. Just because it doesn’t bother me doesn’t mean it won’t bother someone else.

They think it's the differential. Sounds like a kazoo at 25-30mph and 55-60mph. And Toyota says it's normal. There's a giant thread about it here.

    Love my Tacoma

Although I am always looking at raptors, i recognize that’s a different beast altogether.
