To customers who have purchased previously released versions get an email with the 1.05 file attached or will it be through the Mega website or?

Was it me or did the gear shifts not seem instant? Like theres a input lag

 

Definitely looks like lag. It couldn't be instantaneous, the way it is currently it isn't. I imagine he couldn't make it much faster than it is.

I think the important thing is the lack of downshift. That is a beautiful thing.

To be fair, I think you are trying to get a file at one of the busiest times for them and should not expect it to be soon. It will get there when it gets there. Everyone needs to remember that OVTune doesn’t need to do what he is doing. He could have done the first one and then that’s it. Each and every update we get after that first initial release is a bonus. When Apple comes out with a new phone it is on Apples schedule, not their customers. They do what they want to do on their own time. I am perfectly happy with 1.04R and I will be perfectly happy with 1.05 whenever that time comes.

No rush @OVTune. Do your thing. Regardless of whatever tune I have on my truck, it is far better than when I first got my truck and I am happy because of you and your amazing talents. Thank You!

For those that bitch, bitch and bitch. Shut up already. Like Jesus. It gets old about the emails, release dates, etc etc etc. It will be released when it is good and ready! For the mean time, go enjoy your truck and fill your time with other more important things. Who knows, maybe some other mods for your truck if that makes you happy.

I absolutely hate how people now-a-days think they are entitled to this and that. Technology is improving each and every day, but that doesn’t mean we are entitled to it. We are just the lucky ones that get to benefit from it now. You aren’t entitled to anything in life. When you get a product, the company fulfilled their promise to you. That’s it. They don’t owe you anything else. They don’t owe you updates at all. When Apple released IPhone 8, people bought it. When they released IPhone 10, Apple didn’t say oh here you go IPhone 8 customers, here’s a free phone. Hell no. They said, here’s an updated version of your phone for $1,500 or whatever they cost now. If you can afford it, then great. If you can’t, who cares. Life goes on for them and it will continue to do so.

Matt is doing us all a HUGE HUGE HUGE favor on keeping these updates and new versions FREE as well as developing new versions for us. Please please do not ruin it for those that are extremely HAPPY and don’t just think we are entitled to everything. This is not just for the person I have quoted, but for all of those individuals that can’t stop bitching. Also, for those not happy, go somewhere else. Oh wait, you can’t because there’s nothing else out there. Yeah. You are lucky we even have OVTune doing this for us in the beginning. But seriously, OVTune has enough happy customers, he doesn’t need the ones that just like to bitch and complain. If I were him, I would hear what you have to say, which I’m sure he is just like all of us are, but it wouldn’t mean shit to me. It’s just like the guy that said TSB is better than any tune. Who the f*** cares what you say. If that is how you feel, great. Then get rid of the Tune. Flash back to stock or get the TSB and just don’t come back on this thread. To each their own. I'm willing to bet most would want it..so it should go in 1.05 and those who don't can put in custom tunes requests to take it out. He has to be smart and minimize his work load. It's most likely that leaving it out would generate more custom tune requests than the other way around.

Hopefully this is just a proof of concept video, and the lag can be knocked down to a minimum.

 

Im curious if Mat has needed to mess with the direct vs port injection. Anyone heard?

 

The lag is not really that bad, it shifts pretty quickly.
The thing is when you put it in S mode you dont have actual control of it going up and down, which you shift up or down, it just sends a signal to the ECU to shift it, then the ECU goes through it's routine to do the shift.

There is not possible way around that part because the S mode is purely electronic, unlike lexus for example which has direct-shift

 

Can you answer the question of how you may implement this option please? Is it going to be part of 1.05 or a separate file? Also how would it affect those of us that tow in S w/ ECT?
