    Dakar torsion bars
    Morning cap city, from an ouside district. How does one get tranny plug mixed up. Engine pan takes a 9/16 wrench. Tranny plug is a 10mm allen. But i have not been under the tranny of my former 08.

    Yes true when i was in college i manages a jiffylube in moutian view ca, regularly a kid would do that or put antifreeze in the windshield wash tank. The things i saw there. Thats y i change my own fluids. Plus gets me under the truck n see the underside firsthand.

    In the mid '80's, I did the trim work in a "horse barn" at Palafito Farms...An Arabian horse "community" just east of Louisville, and in particular, a building co-owned by former Dallas Cowboy, Tony Dorsett. I've been in 5 star motels that weren't as luxurious as that horse show arena. Most people are astounded at how "The Other Half" lives....our how their chickens live....

    Back in high school daze, a friend got a job at the dairy farm next to ours. He "fueled" up a farm tractor (Allis-Chalmers XT190) and headed to the field. Me and dad were on tractors, plowing, in the field across the fence from where Paul was disking with the Allis. It looked cool, the 10" blue flame coming out of the exhaust stack. Dad motioned me to stop, and we met along the fence. Dad knew something was about to happen.

    It did.

    Paul had fueled the high revving, smaller cu. in. but high boosted turbo diesel in that Allis with gasoline.

    It's awesome watching a diesel engine grenade itself. Lots of sparks and smoke. Sounds wild too.
