Toyota will be so advanced in the coming years, that an entire production generation of the Tacoma will be skipped. 2021 5th Gen here we come

My prediction is that nothing substantial changes. Voodoo blue moves to the trd twins and the pro will get cherry red.

Colors and styles are cyclical and green and earth tones are coming back into style after being out 15+ years.

We are seeing a lot more green on new boats, and I’ve been noticing a lot of green lately on the home improvement shows.

I don’t know what colors Toyota will add to their lineup and when, but I’m sure we will see some green coming soon to more vehicles (Toyota and others)

The Sport presently has an outside scoop. Very interested to see how they do an inside scoop, and what kind of HP gains. Will help with forward visibility for sure.

In 2020 the front vision will be corrected with a bifocal lens and finally will see perfectly up close and far away.

What is different on the 2019? I noticed they have deleted the drivers side bed storage compartment.

Another 10+ years before the next generation? What about the hybrid option?

I doubt there'll be a hybrid option -tacomas are still off road vehicles first. Judging from the last two cycles well get a refresh in 2025 for the '26 model years. Maybe 1 year earlier. Probably a similar v6 with some sort of fuel saving tech like atkinson or cylinder deactivation.

Lol. They already have Atkinson engines.. so yeah, maybe they’ll do that next time.

Hybrid is next, almost a guarantee. Likely just an optional engine but who knows what CARB has in store.

    Here's the swerve:

Toyota will slowly abandon the current Tacoma due to loss of sales to the Ranger. Toyota will then build the Hilux here in the states and call it a "new generation" Tacoma to compete with the Ranger.
