Hey guys just bought a 17 trd orsb, and I used to run the wheelers superbumps up front on my 2015 second gen. Do these bumps work on the the 3rd gens up front as well?

Got some on my truck. Just be prepared to jack the truck up more than you think. Also it helps to us a piece of tape to keep the allen screw from spinning or falling out of the bump when you're reaching up there. Good luck!

Why do people like the wheelers superbumps in front so much? They ride like shit on slow crawling and make the truck feel all stiff and bouncy

What do you prefer? I’m on stock bumps up front right now.

Definitely stock ones. King, icon & fox are designed for stock bump stops to maximize uptravle. Yes I know superbumps compress but they make it harder for your LCA to move upwards since they’re much taller than your stocks. Idk why people always say “superbumps make bottoming out feel smoother” in reality they don’t, I have had both and I can tell you they do not make bottoming out smoother. I have a feeling Some people have no idea what bottoming out means

I also disagree; At first I figured I'd just be using them temporarily until I'm ready/figure out how to best run an air bump in front... now quite a few trips out, and making good use of them in the process... they work great, and I feel no urgent need to upgrade. That includes slower crawling, and going somewhat fast over small whoops and rough terrain. They absorb bumps well, and do so reasonably smooth.

Are you sure you haven't been bottoming out on your shock or something? I have quite a bit of experience with using different bump stops and air bumps, and know the difference between garbage and useful quite well... and was also skeptical of the super bumps at first... but its been a pretty legit solution for me thus far. Unless you're maybe talking about their rear bumps? I have no experience with them, I'm running air bumps in the back.

100% positive im not bottoming out my kings. Superbumps create more contact wth the LCA. When I’m slow crawling over ruts or rocks it makes the truck feel stiff as if it has 0 up travel. When I remove them and throw the oem ones back on I feel it ride a lot smoother because it’s letting the suspension travel upwards without much contact to the oem stops. Superbumps shoot back the LCA causing a faster rebound of the shock. I’ve gone back and fourth testing out the difference and see no good in them.

Even something as simple as flying thru a speed bump I can see the difference. With the SB it shoots the front of the truck up higher and with the oem ones the shocks just absorb the bump like nothing.

Interesting, I wonder if they might have had some variations in compounds over the years? Like maybe you received some from a stiffer batch? I didn't spend much time on the stock ones, so don't have a good comparison, but I haven't experienced any excessive rebounding/bouncing. For me, they really have compressed and absorbed very well.

I'm running ADS, which is likely valved similar to kings; on 650lbs springs, and currently no front bumper, so just sliders and skids impacting weight.

How long have you had yours? I purchased mine last year from wheelers and they feel pretty stiff. i am also running 600lb springs with aluminum front and winch w/ synthetic line so I’m about 120lb in front, not too much weight.

I think roughly about a year and a half, so you wouldn't think the would have been much variance.

You’re running 120lbs extra and on 600# springs? How much preload do you have
