Another Will it fit Utility Cap thread...sorry

    I realize that the standard caps for the 2nd gen do not line up and sit well on the 3rd gen. I have seen the pics of a 2nd gen cap on a 3rd gen, but looking at how the utility caps look on a 2nd gen, not form fitting to the back of the cab, I was wondering if anyone had tried a utility cap from a 2nd gen, on a 3rd gen?
    I attached some pics of the type of cap that I am referring to.

    Being that the bed sides of the 2ng gen are shorter, I'd imagine this would stick up way above the cab. Other than that, it should fit fine. Full disclosure, I'm no authority on canopies.

    Good point on the bed sides, I was actually looking at this one, and it has a sloped front....

    You could always set it on there to check, but I think that might look a little wonky.
