    All the car stereo stores in my area are all out of the AVH W4400NEX and won't have any until late October, that's how popular This new Pioneer HU is !!:facepalm:

    I was running the AVH-4200 in my Wrangler and loved it. Sold the Wrangler yesterday, joined this group and picking up my '18 TRD Pro next week and one thing Im not looking forward to is the downgrade of the JBL Etune from my Pioneer. The 4400 is on my radar as well to get back my Android Auto and Spotify (how a 2018 JBL premium headunit can have Pandora but not Spotify and Android Auto/Apple Carplay is beyond absurd...).

    Btw OP, looks like we chewed some of the same dirt at El Toro for a bit ;)

    Had the new Pioneer W4400NEX installed the other day and I really like it !! .I'm really liking the mirror image capabilities

    The one thing I'm still confused on is the car audio shop that installed it said I don't need a GPS antenna and just rely on the GPS from my phone only

    Head unit. That's it.

    The Pioneer utilizes Android Auto and Apple Car Play which when hooked to your phone (usb connection) will use either Google Maps or Apple's navigation from the mobile device. Pretty cool. Came standard on my Ford Fusion. Plug in the phone....hit the button on the steering wheel and tell it what to do. Done.

    The GPS antenna helps a lot when your phone doesn't have good signal. The antenna still works fine shoved up inside the dash so I'm not sure why they didn't install it... Sounds like laziness. In my shop, we install all included parts.

    I had problems with it and paid a restock fee to upgrade to a Pioneer AVIC w8400nex

    The audio shop that installed my stereo gave me an awesome deal on the AVIC W8400NEX , all I had to pay to upgrade was a $200 restocking fee
