Anyone out there replace the springs on their 2.5” coilovers if so which spring compressor did you use? I bought 14” 650lbs for my foxes and I’d rather do it myself if possible.

Looking at parts for my 609 ton front build, it almost seems like it would be worth buying a complete dana 60 to steal the spindles/hubs/brakes from

Really frustrated, people keep flagging the CL ad for the Jeep and it keeps getting removed as spam

That is actually a good question, I am pretty sure the 50 and 60 use the same spindles but I'll have to do some more research.

The sticking point is that I think all of the 50s are BJ and I am building a kingpin axle. OTOH the BJ and KP dana 60s use different spindles.

I will have to run custom shafts anyways. I currently have chevy 60 outer knuckles but I don't have any of the spindle/hub parts for them.

Still mad about having to turn around. I am really tempted to spend the afternoon welding the rear of the truck.

It's not my daily and I don't really care about wearing out tires while I work towards getting the front built and get around to doing a proper locker in the rear

Nope had oil, I checked it before I bought it. I should of knew something was up when the guy offered to trip the price from 1700 to 1100 like that, but oh well. Replacement motor was 500 and it was swapped in a weekend still less then what I was willing to pay for it

    Yeah it can.

My first jeep had a welded diff and I thought it sucked until I swapped it with a Detroit. That was a lot worse because it would surge left/right when it locked/unlocked, but that might have been due to the bias ply swampers :)
