Haha, like one of my friends. I asked him if he wanted to go on a certain trail that might be tight for his truck. He said he would go anywhere I would. His truck almost didn't fit & was talking smack later.

Been very slowly plugging away at optimizing and rebuilding my suspension all around. I cut my bedsides 2" larger all around to get rid of rust and to fit my 37" tires better. I will see if I can find a shop to help me roll the edge, or I'll just run it as-is. Also are some new frame box plates to weld a new crossmember to get a shock angle more vertical. My old attempt of just welding in 1 3/4" .120 wall Dom was cracking my frame jut outside of my welds. Also, drilled out my 6" RuffStuff shackles to 4 3/4" to help lower my truck some too.

Also, I love the camera on my Samsung S9.

I'm trying to track down a vibration or maybe a grinding noise on my truck. How does a drive shaft vib act and feel? I really don't feel any shaking or vibrations, more less just hear kinda of a grinding noise that seems to be mostly towards the front of the truck. In gear and out it sounds the same, turning left and right doesn't change it. I seem to notice it more at lower speeds, 25-40ish. Seems to have started around the time I lifted with 882s and put a diff drop on it. I've read about the center bearing drop helping shaft vibs. Haven't really paid too much attention to it til I swapped from half worn out mud tires to a quieter all terrain a couple weeks ago. I've thought about replacing the carrier bearing since its got almost 170k on it but it doesn't have too much play in it.

    What say ye?

I've thought that too. Just had the front end apart a couple weeks ago for tie rod, brakes and alignment. Wheels were tight and no noise when spinning on the lift

My wheel bearing went out on a road trip seemingly out of nowhere about a month ago, started making grinding noises like you describe. Also nuked my front brakes which was freaky. But the wheel itself didn't lock up on me, either way I would check it out or get it looked at soon before either one of those things happens lol.

Mine was a clunking noise right behind the drivers seat at 43 mph at 2k RPM. New CB didnt fix it, 3 degree shims did the trick. Im only lifted 2" too.

I’ve seen that thread and plan on doing this next. I noticed you mentioned that is works with the stock air box but in the thread it says that the air filter side of the Volvo MAF is larger. Wouldn’t It need to be the same diameter to fit correctly into the air box?

I believe it fits fine just a bit tighter, it’s a bit wider but has a rubber spacer that I believe adjusts for the difference.
If you have the KN Airfilter the rubber spacer has to be sanded down 1/4” around the spacer for the Airfilter to slide on and fit in the KN support bracket.

@D.Smith @Phessor can tell you how the stock setup is done.
I believe it will all push together with the stock setup

I could feel vibes through the skinny pedal when it happened. Really hard to describe the exact noise.

I ordered a 2002 airbox and the Volvo MAF bolted right in, no modifications needed. Just rewiring the plug is all that is done to make it work.

Replaced the drivers side headligt trim after 18 months. Doesn’t sit quite right but it’s still nice to see it complete again

Also added a BAMF LPV bracket, noticed that my boot was torn on the arm. Anyone know of it’s a huge deal?
