Looking good! I'll start consolidating for voting later this evening. Saw some of the progress yesterday/last night, but didn't post - I was down for a bit. Had a little health scare. Set out to run 9 miles and I ran out of strength about 5 miles in (did 8 miles no problem a couple weeks ago, so this was weird). I was determined to finish all 9, so I did some walking, mixed with jogging when I had a little energy. Dragged my ass back to the truck and felt a little weak/dizzy. Gathered myself enough to get home, then started getting fluids. A couple of minutes later, I threw up all the water/Gatorade I had drank. Walked in to the bedroom, laid on the floor, then woke up 2 hours later.

Eventually ate, got some fluids down, then slept another 9 hours for the night.

I think it was a combination of dehydration (ran out of water on the trail), calorie deficiency, and it being a little warmer than normal. Whatever it was, it sure wasn't very fun.

At any rate, I'm feeling much better now. Looking forward to seeing what all comes in at the deadline in both categories! Then the voting will commence!

Good luck all that have entered so far and all those getting ready to submit.

    Midnight. Crank that heat up!!!

I've cooked frozen pork shoulder before. Almost can't tell the difference in the finished result. Maybe a tad more smoke flavor and darker bark, but the food still turns out great. Good luck!

Well, this was a partially frozen ham. It’s thawed, smoked, and partially consumed at this point. Post to follow.

I bet it’s a brisket. One of them from SRF.

Reserve select slicing ham, about 4 pounds. Diamond sliced, and seasoned with PF regular, and a little added brown sugar. Smoked over some cherry, hickory, and apple. Pulled at 160*, rested, basted with its own juices.
