Tailgate open alarm

    I've had to haul things with the tailgate open but the truck gets very upset and starts complaining. How can I deal with this without having to take the tailgate off every time I have to haul something bigger than 6 ft.? Thank goodness they've been short trips or I would've gone crazy! I like the tailgate there for extra support. Julie

    That makes more sense, that the parking sensors are detecting the tail gate.

    Of course, it only happens when I'm moving. Shamefully, I haven't read the owner's manual unless something perplexing comes up. And this is perplexing. Not included in the manual is how to haul 12' kayaks. Which is why this came up. I'll definitely investigate that feature.
