Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Really dude? You purchased on 8/4? Myself and several others have been in the game since day 1 with OVTune. I purchased the tune in July 2017 and have been waiting patiently like the others that are the OG’s with this tune.

Calm the fuck down and wait for the finished product like we all are. You are not a special case and nothing about you warrants special treatment.

 

Well @OVTune , I'm surprised you put up with it for this long. I admire your dedication to your product and completely understand the change and nobody deserves the headaches. You've been working on your days off and long hours on this and we appreciate it. Now time to leave work at work and spend more time with your family and some actual time for Mat.

 

Calling people brats and assholes isn't really what I would call help. There are definitely a few such as yourself that have been reasonable, but the masses are trigger happy responders that don't understand a situation, and hate just to hate. In fact look where this ended up. I'm less bothered by my interactions with Mat than I am with the vitriol that gets tossed around because I spoke up.

Look, a public forum is an awful place to conduct customer interactions. I wish I could have worked directly with someone, but that isn't realistic right now. Airing dirty laundry publicly makes everyone look bad, me included. Yes, I am "that guy" right now, but I tell you what, the fact that Mat is now pushing everything to the site is a massive step in the right direction. We may all end up benefitting from this ugliness in the long run if OVTune grows as a business because of it.

 

He purchased on October 10th actually.

And seriously, thank you. I've said a lot in defending myself publicly and in the process called to question your business practices. Let it be known that I personally think your effort is admirable regardless of the outstanding issues around customer service. It never was my intent to take anything away from your effort or the product. Heck, the fight is a testament to the quality! it's the reason I want it so bad!

You guys did a swell job of poking the bear. This weekends conversations really paid off for all of us.

 

You do realize that's the same as saying "Refund those 2 guys and don't get paid for your hard work!"

He deserves to get paid, and anyone here not acknowledging his hard work is definitely not seeing things for what they are. But there is a commitment both ways when you bring money into the equation. I do software for a living and for fun. The software I give away has a much different expectation of support from the user base than the software I sell. And once again, I'll say that he's been straight up for with almost everything he's done. I've been vocal in my support for waiting for 1.05 as everyone should. See my previous video game analogy. There seem to be a few outstanding issues that are reasonable (mine included) and have gotten blown WAY out of proportion due to them being handled in an environment like this. It's an unfortunate circumstance, but it was always going to get to the point where it boiled over. That happens when things need to scale but can't.

 

Speaking of scale, this discussion board better. I wonder if they ever intended a thread to get this long. We are borderline big data at this point.

 

Don't try sucking up after you publicly ripped OVtune all weekend . Just get your money back and move on you don't deserve to have the tune paid or not. Hell Mat wont miss your money one bit!
