    Fresh gas.
Some how.... some way... in my wifes 4runner, the sun ALWAYS manages to end up beating down on my nuts in the drivers or passenger seat.

I ALWAYS end up closing the sun shade.

I hate the sun roof. Moon roof. Whatever. We hates it precious.

I've always wanted one since I had a sunroof on my '83 AMC. My '15 didn't have one, my '17 didn't have one but due to some issues with my '17 I was able to upgrade to an '18 with one. I love it! I have the sunshade open a majority of the time.
There's nothing quite like having the moonroof/sunroof open on a cool day and the heated seats on

I've had a moonroof in most of the vehicles I've owned, never had a problem with leaks. I'm 6'4" and have no problem with the moonroof in my taco.

I have a moonroof in my tacoma, and my wife and I have had several vehicles with them and never had any problems. One thing about the tacoma one that's a bit annoying is that after putting a prinsu roof rack on, I find that it is quite loud when at highway speeds, so I close the shade.

I open and close it all the time through the year. I love having one, it's a nice perk. I,however, wouldn't trade a vehicle in and take a financial hit just to get one.

I always have roof racks so even when I had vehicles with a sunroof, I'd rarely use it. With my Prinsu on the truck and often boats and gear there'd rarely be any value and I like the headroom I have.

I like them. Had one on my 4Runner and my wife's Avalon has one. I used the one on my 4Runner quite a bit, and if I'm driving the wife's car most times I'll at least have the shade pulled back. My wife on the other never uses it. She says it never dawns on her to open it even if it's a nice. Too much on her mind I guess, like does she have a clean pair of yoga pants at home?

This is terrible, but in my old AWD bmw (1988 325ix) I had a big roof rack on it. The only reason I ever used the sunroof in that car was to keep a hand on the load on the roof so I know if its starting to slide. I would also run ropes through the sunroof into the roll cage for very large loads. Yes, I overloaded that rack all the time. front clip of a car, strapped to the roof, 700lbs of ikea furniture, strapped to the roof. Loved that car.

I like sunroofs, but there is no way I would take a beating on a trade in to get one. That will be a very expensive sunroof.

I love my sunroof. Down here in Tampa its too hot most of the time but I leave it cracked during the day for the heat to escape and Nov - April it gets used almost non stop.

I got one. Love having hit.

Only con to me is the height (doesn't bother me but I'm 5'10). If you or your riders are under 6 foot its fine. My dad is 6'2 and his head touches the roof.

You guys all have valuable points, though none are accurate unfortunately, but there is one definitive difference between a moonroof and a sunroof:
    - A moonroof is made of glass and you can therefore see through it with it closed.
    - A sunroof is made of steel/aluminum/carbon/etc. and cannot be seen through when it is closed.

Not that it matters in the end, but that's the difference.

I love the sun/moonroof in my 18' tacoma. I had an 05' Tundra and still have an 05' 4Runner and 96' Tacoma with sun/moonroofs and have no issues of leakage. I am 6'-1" and have plenty of headroom.

Wife had an '02 C230K. Same problem twice. Once under warranty. Once on the day we wanted to trade it in.

I've never had a problem with any sunroof vehicle, even my 91 VW GLI with hand crank open and all. I wouldn't have purchased my truck without it. I use it everyday for fresh air.

Just one more thing to break or leak.

The roof is lower, increasing the risk of your head hitting the roof in a roll over accident leading to a neck injury (or death if truly unfortunate).

In the event of an accident its more glass all over the place cutting you as you get out of the vehicle.

It is dangerous to have any windows open in the event of an accident. It changes pressure in the cab leading to a greater chance of injury. And of course the increased risk that something comes into the vehicle during an accident.

Sun/moon roofs are really not safe and I prefer to never have one if given the choice.

My Limited came with the Moon Roof. Wish Toyota made it a stand alone option as
I do not care for it on a truck, Cars are fine, but this is a truck.
If it where a stand alone option, then folks could order it or pick from the dealers lot.
The marketing with the Moon Roof, bundled up in certain packages suck, but Toyota
wants maximum profits to force you take it with top of the line packages.
