My low fuel light comes on when I have 4 gallons left. Its nice because thankfully there is no beep or anything, my 07 Mustang GT the whole instrument cluster would go red and keep beeping when I had 50 miles left.

    Working on that...
I just filled up today averaged about 14.15 mpg. This is in an 04' prerunner, TRD Off-road pkg. Definitely disappointed, I drove like a senior citizen too, never exceeded 2000 RPM unless the traffic situation dictated, and I was religious with the cruise control, also I never sped and rarely even go the speed limit. I plan on doing the deck plate mod and getting a new filter... we'll see if things change after that.

The last tank was driving on the interstate going about 80 mph all the way. I was able to go 415.6 miles, the gas light had not come on. My MPG was 25.4!

90% of my driving is highway. I usually fill up with at 320 - 350 miles with about 1/8 of a tank left. I made 405 on one tank but it was staight highway during an all day trip. I kept it at 65 mph with the cruise on.

Tacos have a 21 gallon gas tank. Fuel light comes on with about 4 gallons left in the tank.

I get around 19mpg, about 330ish miles before the light comes on and it takes about 17 almost 18 gallons when the light is on.

When my light goes on and when the gauge hits the last line it's at 315 miles but it only takes 17 gallons. That's 18.5 MPG combo HWY/CITY for combo thats good MPG to me. The tank holds 21 gals. thats a big reserve.

Ok, I'm on my 4th tank of gas. This one will be mostly city miles (klms). However, my 3rd tank was mostly Hwy miles (klms) and I got 484 miles (779 klms) before I refueled. I didn't go until the low fuel warning but I must have been close. This tank was used in mainly flat and foothills (gently rolling terrain) hwy's found in and around Calgary, AB, at 85% hwy to 15% city and at 60 mph (100 kph) to 75 mph (120 kph) for hwy driving.

Also remember this is an Access cab 4x4 4cyl SR5. My milage with be better than the V6 but poorer than the 4 cyl 2wd taco's. Also I'm not babying it, I'm just driving to normal traffic flow.

My next tank will be stricly city (95% city) with speeds from 25 mph (40 kph) to 50 mph (80 kph). I'll report these finding after my next fill.
