Starting off.... I know this may sound like me being ignorant and I am kicking myself in the ass for it! Two weeks ago I went camping up in the Olympic National Park, I was heading back towards where I was working for the next week (Tacoma) and decided to spend my Sunday night on Bainbridge Island. Woke up with a ridiculous amount of FOG and condensation all over my tent (it may have even rained that night). Long story short I got back to the hotel and knew I had to air out the tent that week while at work...... but due to the Tacoma/Seattle weather during that time, I was not afforded to opportunity to open it back up because it kept raining, and the moisture in the air would not go away!!! I got home this past week and finally got to open it up............... I am now scrubbing away mold on the interior and exterior of the tent. I have the rainfly and mattress laying in the garage, I have been using Clorox wipes, Lysol disinfectant spray, and have been scrubbing the tent with a soapy sponge. Besides putting a space heater inside of it and trying to dry it out, does anyone have chemical treatment/recommendations to possible help me to stop any of the mold from re-growing or staying in the tent!?!? ANY IDEAS or OPINIONS would be greatly appreciated!!! I am not one to be lazy and allow this to happen, I just did not have the time or space to properly allow my tent to air out due to traveling for work. SORRY for the LONG post, just looking for advice!!!

If you have the space to keep the tent open I would suggest a fan (think olde school fan that rotates 180*) just to keep the air moving.

Got my new bed rack and went ahead and threw my tent on it to try it out. Freaking love this new setup.

Looking for the actual measured height of closed tents. I'm currently in the market for a RTT and I might have a clearance issue with my garage door... Looking at ARB Simpson III and similar.

    Thanks

I'm not sure how bad your mold has set in, but check this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LW-mNQuE9w

Also, for those of you who have done multi-night wet weather camping in the past, are these tents good to go AFTER being put up wet? We were planning a Thursday night thru Saturday night trip, but Thursday night is calling for 1/2" of rain. My concern is after a Thursday night of rain, putting this thing up wet, then redeploying it Friday night runs the possibility of a soaked mattress situation.

I've camped many nights in PNW torrential rains and have never had water infiltrate the inside of my CVT. If you don't have a condensation mat, you run the risk of a moist mattress, but it won't be from the outside weather.

Bummer about the other posters mold issue. I'd lightly scrub it with one of the commercially available mold treatments designed for ground tents and keep using it.

Anyone applying anything to the all-weather cover so it doesn’t fad?

i use some of my quick detail/silica sealant i use on the paint when i reseal it. Seems to keep it softened and keeps it cleaner longer and easier to hose off. Not sure on longevity gains though.

Scored an 8' CVT awning over the weekend. Going to try to mount it up directly to the prinsu this week to use over the weekend.

do any of you have any cool spare tire mounting solutions?

I don't want a swingout on the bumper, and I'd really like to maintain the ability to see out of my rear view and keep as much bed space as possible. a 35 takes up so much dang space lol

I want to avoid blocking the rear view if I can. I'm wanting to open the bed floor open again so I could slide stuff under it if needed.
