    Random question....

    What is your opinion on running SOA vs SUA on Tacomas specifically? I can find plenty of general information regarding the two, but not a lot pertaining to the specific benefits of one over the other on Tacomas.

    Firearm was under the seat cause they don’t even let pocket knifes in Wild West Motorsports Parkway. He did get rape punched in the eye (had my keys in the other hand) which is why he let go. By the time I got my sig from under the seat, he was down the street running away and my arm was pissing blood.

    That’s because it’s a really loaded question. And it completely depends on driver preference and terrain. A well designed rear shock relocate can pull over 13” of travel in the rear with SOA and pairs nicely with a +2 kit up front. If you go 3.5 over, SUA all the way otherwise it’s way too easy to overdrive the front and hold onto your cowboy hat for the buck in the rear.

    Good info. I plan to only run +2 up front, but I want to make sure I do it right the first time. My fear would be to do a nice SOA setup in the rear and then it not be able to keep up with the front.

    Mine keeps up just fine.
    Custom leaf pack based on my specs with my own relocate. And pulls more travel than the TC SUA kit.

    Your leafs are from Deaver I'm guessing? I was looking into the Archive Garage SUA with their shock relocate on Deaver HD SUA springs.

    I'm assuming you were able to get pretty even up/down travel numbers without going negative on the springs too on SOA?

    Most people know I’m a fan of dogs. Moreso than most humans. Breed doesn’t matter either. But piece of shit owners develop piece of shit dogs. I’ll leave it at that.

    I’m just some asshole on the internet. So take it as a grain of salt. I’m personally not a fan of archive’s kit unless you are running Dakar leaf packs. Geometry is...not what I like.

    I run a custom Deaver pack based on the U402 geometry with OE geometry hangers and shackles. A cunt hair shy of 5.75” up travel with 0.5” negative arche at full bump. The archive hangers will lock out at droop with OE geometry and a spring pack that actually flexes.

    If you are gonna run SUA, don’t pussy foot around and cheap out. You need a leaf pack with way more arch and longer lateral leaf pack length. DMZ is my preferred SUA kit on second gens. Of course that comes with more bump travel and glass bedsides or cut to shit stock bedsides.

    I appreciate the honesty. It sounds like I might be better off with staying with SOA in that case. My main concern is the front outperforming the rear like I said earlier, but if your custom setup is still working well for you than I'm very confident that something similar be more than enough for me... Haha

    Actually, the post count is not as important to me as it is to others. Since I've joined though I've been able to maintain that average by conversing in a natural, sorta face to face manner.
