hey CA Lunchtable dudes (and dudettes...), I started a PM about possibly doing a Pismo camping trip not this weekend but next, the weekend before Thanksgiving. If I missed someone that is interested let me know and I can add you to the convo if you didn't get it.

Sort of short notice but I figure for any of us that are within a few hours of Pismo it could be a fun weekend trip and chance to meet

 

Wish I was closer for something like that, always wanted to check out Pismo

 

It's a fun place so long as you go during the right time of year....Summer time and especially summer weekends it's packed and is basically one enormous frat party on the beach. More trophy mall crawlers than you could possibly count in a lifetime lol. But this time of year when it's cooler and especially right before a holiday weekend, it should be more enjoyable.

Definitely be more opportunities to go, one of these days we should plan a bigger meet further in advance that more of us could all meet up at, maybe Moab or something like that.

oh yeah I wouldn't plan a trip to that part of the country during the summer lol. At least I think Moab gets pretty hot, I've never been

 

Yeah hard pass on the August Moab

 

Plus summer has strong NW winds ripping down the coast, not so fun in the sand.

oh yeah I remember that pretty well...I only had a little backpacking tent last time I was there and it was all over the place

 

There’s breaks, Im going to school all next summer anyway...
