239k, never had a tune-up or changed plugs. Is this unusual?

I just changed mine at 159000 miles. First time they have been changed and it runs so much smoother it is like a new truck. Factory recommends changing the spark plugs at 60000 miles.

Yup I figured after that many miles the gap would be about 2 meters.

2 bad moves Holmes, first use NGK or Denso plugs, and don't wait till 239k to change them

You are right on point! They had a gap of about.099 but should have been only.044! I can’t tell the difference in performance now that I’vE changed them! They were not hard to get out! I had a Toyota Avalon that ran like a top up until I sold it! Toyota’s have not disappointed me yet!

Those had plenty of life left, OP. Why do you enjoy wasting your money with unnecessary maintenance? :anonymous:

He'll be doing a plug change sooner than later because of those shitty Autolite plugs.
