Yea, in my head just computing the amount of fuel they used in all those passes... Astronomical, This is our F-4 in our museum, static, but Purdy!! We are a non profit, no way could we afford a flying one, even if there was one available, which there isn't.. USAF just took the last flying of the remote controlled RF-4 drones and decommissioned them last year.. It was a sad day!

Please you are giving me flash backs !! I spent 7 years structurally putting RF4C's back together I never understood what I was told on the first 2 days at the base till about a year or so later the quote from a SMsgt " I would rather have a daughter in a whore house then be a sheetmetal troop on F4s' " It was not till that year or so passed that I understood...

Oh and btw Kamakazie_1 those OV-10s you are working on lol were probably rebuild in about the late 80's by Lear Siegler in hanger 1610 On Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Tx.

I'm so depressed right now. My friend and neighbor will probably spend the rest of his life in prison. He's 52 yrs old, I guess things snowballed on him, I could see something was going on over there, he and his girlfriend took in a family of four, three generations of friends (not family) from a town they used to live in.

Grandma and her boyfriend, daughter, a toddler still in diapers, daughter's part time boyfriend showing up periodically. Such a mess now. I was wondering what was going on over there, didn't want to stick my nose into his business, he seemed ok with it.

The family he took in was living in his 24' trailer illegally parked on the street around the corner from his house, extension cord from house, but no sewage/water connection so of course they had to shuttle into the house to use the facilities. I thought he was ok with that.

Apparently it did bother him because he went off the rails, SWAT team off the rails. Got drunk, fired a pistol in the house with the clan in the house, sheriff called in. I didn't even know he had a pistol, been camping with him out in the boonies, isn't a hunter.

13 counts against him, bad ones. I doubt I'll ever see him again unless I visit him in prison. Other neighbor talked to him in the afternoon before the SWAT incident that night, seemed ok, then blam, twelve hours later there's an armored vehicle with ten men in full body armor kicking the front door in and throwing flash grenades.

Such a mess. His GF is now using his beloved 2012 Tacoma to deliver pizzas. That Tacoma was his baby, I used to tease him about garaging the Tacoma, meanwhile the Avalon and Camry were sitting in the driveway.

A couple of pages back everyone was chiming in about piss poor work / work ethics I have a pretty good one . I have learned after talking to no less than 6 Plumbing / Heating companies that they have so much work they will turn down small jobs.... 1 of the 6 Came out gave an estimate and another will be out tomorrow so I get choose one or the other. Company 4 called me back today after I called them on Thursday last week. I was told " We are pretty backed up with major jobs and our service dept his also, so if you have another company that will do the work you should probably go ahead and call them" . He started to apologize I hung the hell up on him . Albeit he was one of 4 that gave me the same song and dance to busy, be a few weeks etc etc . However, each and everyone of them did say " If it is an emergency " or some variation of that we will send some one right out.....

@Kolunatic you will recall me repairing the outside hose bib a while back. It is starting to weep again so figured screw it have both of them changed out and add shut offs , add a shut off to the main line from the well, have the pump inlet galvi fitting changed out to stainless it looks very very crusty ... and have the water softener loop cut out and capped underneath the house as I am always afraid of catching it and breaking it off it is in the little shop attached to the house. Not hard work but I am not willing to attempt to screw with the pump or putting in a mainline valve so figure pay to have it all done one shot before hard winter sets in.

First estimate $760. I would love to shop it around some more but hell if they won't even come out cause the job is to small .. So I will wait to see what the guy tomorrow says and make the choice . I will let for those interested what the other bid is .

I don't even know the entire story, but 13 counts doesn't look good.

It is standard on a WAG that is how many people were in the house at the time or near enough. Unlawful discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of ( what ever the discharge is felony / misdemeanor) and what ever else they threw in. If there are mitigating factors for him mental health and so on . Many times they pile on charges just to get a plea and not go to court and the plea usually involves tossing out most of the low ball charges etc. I do not know CO law and I am not an attorney in any state of the union nor did I stay in a motel six. But I have seen what should be murder charges brought down to manslaughter and attempted murder brought down to Aggravated Assault . Mind you both of those got time. Those are just some of the strange cases I have seen.

Everyone got out of the trades during the crash, including myself. Good help is so hard to find it’s a wonder you can get anyone to do the work. In our area you have two choices, scumbag hacks and the super expensive professional’s. I wish you luck.

I don't know how. We'll find out some more, but drunk and firing a shot in a house with a toddler there, doesn't matter if he wanted them out of his house, you just can't rid yourself of an annoyance that way.

Won't do that. I posted because we're older people here that sometimes we try to help less fortunates and sometimes being nice can snowball. And don't get drunk with firearms.
