Can't think of many places I wouldn't take a camera with me to. Colorado is beautiful.

o_O :sorry: Maybe I was looking for instruction and tips on this weeks challenge since it seemed to be technical in nature. Not sass from our "dear leader" that can't even be half-arsed to finish last weeks challenge in a timely manner. :D

    I quoted you my picture.

You also didn’t request instruction and tips. You requested him to explain blue hour for you, a cell phone pleb. If you’re going to poke at @medic2230 you at least have to be specific and direct

I think this week, I'll try to use something other than my cell phone.

It gets done on Monday's. Monday isn't over yet so I could have waiting a few hours from now to finish up last weeks challenge.

Maybe it's time you stepped up to the photography plate with a camera. I mean it can only make you better, am I right? o_O

I mean the only way you're going to learn something worth a damn is to get out there and do it. Sitting here talking about it isn't getting anything done. Mistakes make the best lessons. Make it happen.

Just for you if I win again I'm going to go technical AF for it to learn your ass something good.

Maybe the Harris Shutter Effect would be a good start for you.

Don't be afraid to post your mistakes either. Shit happens and someone on here has probably been therefore and can help you out.

True chains. That picture I just posted; I got that result purely out of mistake. There’s very minimal editing to it. Maybe lightened it up a hair, but the only other thing I did was straighten out the horizon. Learn by doing. Sometimes the best pictures are from a mistake

Thanks, guys. I really mean that. I do this for fun, and for the camaraderie. But I do also want to learn.

I've spent hours out at night photographing shit to end up with one or no pics from it before. Got to take the good with the bad. I get a lot more keepers now than I did back then. Now it can be good and I just don't like it so it's a double edged sword. Now I can go out at night and pretty much set the exposure I need looking at the scene or damn near it. That came from spending hours out at night learning. The more you do it the better you will get at it. If you're taking a photo of the moon it's not a nighttime photo you're taking it's a daytime photo. Shutter 100 f/11 ISO 100. You'll either be dead on or close to it with that setting.

Moral of the story? I'd rather be out at night taking photo's instead of the daytime.
