The biggest ones I could find and out do every one.

Had to put a lift on it so the tires wouldn't rub

Soooo I didn't want to start another tire thread and figured this would be the best place to ask.

I have height restrictions in my garage so lifting right now isn't an option but a CMC is. I was wondering what the biggest 17" tire size I could run with no lift but a CMC on a 3rd gen?

Looking into new tires and hoping I can get something that would suit the truck still for when I am able to lift it 2-3".

That photo was as soon as I put them on. Wheeling took place afterwards and multiple times since.

    ...too much shit to list.
Or. You could link threads where it’s been answered.
    Or ignore the thread.
    Or maybe read this: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-halftime-speech.66102/

@jberry813 it was mostly a joke seeing his question had already been answered and multiple threads linked to include a YouTube video. I'm sure I didnt scare him away to another forum or deter him from utilizing this forum to it's full potential in any way.

If you actually wheel your truck, lifts that aren't drop brackets will not help clear bigger tires. Your standard up to 3" lift for a tacoma has your stock bumpstops being the limiting factor. This means your tires will stuff to the same spot as they do stock. If you want to get bigger tires you have to cut. 285s usually require a cab mount chop. Jump up from 33s to 35s and you're looking at trimming fenders/flares, removing your fender liners, and bashing your firewall back with a BFH. You can fit any tire size you want, it's just a matter of how much work you want to do (how much you want to hack up your truck) to fit them. Keep in mind that the backspacing of your wheels will impact where you rub. Too much backspacing and you hit your frame rails and UCAs, too little backspacing and you rub your cab mount, fire wall, fenders, etc.

If you’re not lifting you’ll need to trim the liner. For 70’s you shouldn’t need the cmc. I just put 285/70/17 KO2’s on my pro and that’s all I did. I’m about to lift it (have everything but the front coil overs in my garage) and will end up doing the cmc since I wheel it.

Did you happen to notice this thread is over a year old? Seems like someone did use the search function to revive it from the dead.

I figured as much, it just made me laugh. When I read it then looked at the photo, but ya never know around here, a wet field might be to much to handle for some lol
