Thanks- along with the black badges, they changed the look of the rear of the truck. It was well worth the $165

Anyone know of any good sandblasting/powdercoating places on the island? I just picked up a set of sliders that could use a good powdercoat

you picked up a set used?

lmk how it goes with whoever you end up paying for the media blast and final finish!

my sliders can use a good strip down and refinish as well before things get too out of hand..

Yeah I picked up a set used on craigslist pretty cheap but there's some surface rust. I'll try to give those places a call tomorrow

If KK or Action gives you a ridiculous price, try calling Dynocoat in Bohemia. I had one of my downhill mountainbikes powdercoated matte black by them and it cost me $100 for them to strip, prep, and powder. Since it's just sliders, you might be able to save some coin. It all depends on budget, and if you're looking for gloss/satin/textured finish.

    BUT...
KK Finishing Co is easily one of (if not) the best powdercoaters on LI. I'm slightly biased because I had some Subaru parts done by him in a textured wrinkle red finish and they came out amazing, plus he's also one of my friends lol. Kris and his brother Kacper stand by their work 100% and take great pride in their work... it speaks for itself:

And a promo video from their YouTube:

KK quoted me some insane prices in the past lol

definitely could save money by stripping the finish yourself with a brush wire wheel

there are also some people offering media blasting services on craigslist, they seem to offer some decent prices as well offer the mobile service for those much bigger items and projects

Cheapest quote I got back was for $300. Not a bad price, but I’m thinking I’ll wait for a nice day and I’ll do the work myself and save some money. Also here’s a pic of the sliders I picked up. 05487BE9-87E0-4902-A9C8-8147DE545667.jpg

300 including stripping them down? Or 300 just for the PC and you deliver them already stripped and prepped?

just keep in mind the cold temps are coming and if you plan on painting them yourself you will want to have the sliders kept in side the house for a couple days to warm them up

those looks to be in decent shape you may wanna consider waiting until after the winter

I should’ve specified it’s $300 stripped and powder coated, so not a bad price at all.

I’m not in a huge rush to get them on, so I may end up having to wait until the spring to paint them when it gets warmer out again. They really aren’t in bad shape at all, so it probably makes more sense to do myself.

Anybody know any good shops on Long Island where I can have the icon progressive add a leaf installed? Preferably somewhere with experience with Toyota trucks

I can recommend Mike @ Automotive Center of Long Island (631)928-0883 located in East Setauket.
He has performed a bunch of alignments for me with in the last 3 years and I have never had any issues.

Another option is you could host an install day and we (whoever shows up) can get it done, it is a fairly easy and straight forward install...

Sounds good! I’m gonna look into it.

I’m looking for the best way to lift my rear a little bit. Currently my front sits slightly higher and I want to level it out. After some research it seems this is a common issue with the TRD Pros and the add a leaf seems to be the most popular option to fix it.
