I know, i remember you doing it.

I just don’t think i want to get it apart and back together again. It really sucked. My situation is the same, i’m off by one spline. It can be fixed with a simple adjustment of the tie rods; which might not be a bad idea because i haven’t had an alignment for over 3 years and 34,000ish miles

Got an alignment wednesday. Been about 35k since i had one. Was definitely needed but all that was out was my toe by an 1/8”

 

As some of you know, i’ve been piling a lot of miles on this truck over the last year and with me paying my motorcycle off, i’ve decided to start searching for the 4th gen i’ve always wanted. My family had an 04 when I first got my license and i have missed it since it was traded in on a 5th gen in 2012.

So here is a current list of my criteria for a used 4th Generation 4Runner:

Wishes/Needs:

• 06-09
• Less than 200k miles
• Preferably less than $10k
• Burgundy/light blue/dark blue/silver/grey/white
• V6
• 4x4
• Towing package
• Sport trim is preferred but limited and SR5 are acceptable

Things i want to avoid:

• Accidents
• Would prefer to have little to no rust but thats going to be impossible
• No black, won’t buy a black vehicle
• Don’t particularly want the 4.7 but i would put up with it
• Has to have painted flares and bumpers
• Would prefer to avoid having a sunroof
• Would prefer the vehicle not be lifted or modified

Looking to travel no further than 200 miles to acomplish this purchase.

On another note. I noticed that my truck was handling weird when I had a load in the bed at highway speed so i checked all my suspension for loose parts and found nothing unusual except for my sumospring on the driver’s side.











So I contacted Supersprings and they told me they had never had a problem like this. The gentleman I spoke with was Ryan and he showed my images to the engineering team. They requested that i send it in to them, so i asked if they would send me a new one first. Not a problem they said! And sent it out the next day. I got it and installed it today. For those who may be wondering, my passenger side one looks almost as good as this new one that they just sent me....so i’m not sure what happened. Either way. Truck feels fine now, and this company went above and beyond to make this right.
