I'm at 6000 ft and was ready to do gears after adding 255/80/17 59 lb tires. Probably fine for lower elevation but driving up the passes the truck was having trouble holding 4th and was mushy off the line. Then I got 1.03 91. Truck was quicker off the line than it was on stock tune and stock tires. I almost forgot about needing gears. Even with a RTT tent on the truck and lots of camping gear, truck could run up the hill in the fast lane and hold 4th much, much better. I ran that version of the tune for almost a year. Got the TSB done about 4 weeks ago and while the trans is much smoother, I am missing the power. I've been running stock tune just to get a good feel how the truck drives stock. Truck just felt like it gained 1000 lbs and just downshifts like crazy. I see what Matt was alluding to regarding the crazy ECU signalling a downshift rather than calling for more power. Anxiously awaiting 1.05!

This is the most encouraging review of 1.05. I hated feeling like I took a step back with a new truck. Especially since I went all in with a TRD Pro.

 

You know how politicians will use a really big story that breaks over something else to shield their own garbage? Well, that Tonka guy was something else, ay?

Man I have 33’s ,TRD CAI, MBRP exhaust and 93 all around but would you believe Matt would not Email me back about becoming a tester??? JK he most definitely did email me Many if times for all my inquiries but I was still a 04B03 cat and didn’t meet the requirements!!
Dudes been nothing but money for all my ?’s and needs since I bought the tune back in March. Heck I’ve invited him down for beers and a Caffeine and Horsepower car show. cheers to @OVTune
