I'm gonna make a thread titled "why even buy an Off Road" and watch all the OR owners get triggered

Love my sport every day, I personally think it's the best value out of all of 'em. But there are more OR owners here on TW so responses are skewed.

I see an opinionated statement with zero backing. Why does it suck? Let's see your reasoning.

Same reason you bought a TRD PRO instead of a SPORT.

Looked at this myself. Differences are airdam, scoop, tires, rim, diff locker. Only real difference is off-road gets rear diff locker and suspension, sport gets scoop. Rest is minor with 16 vs 17 inch rims, air dam, extra skid plate. Will you use a rear diff locker? If not go with what’s cheaper / has the extras you want. If you will then Get OR. To me everything else is minor additions you can change. I went OR since it was cheaper and I thought I might use the rear diff on some of the trails I have been on.

Lockers. Come in real handy in deep snow and steep, rocky roads/trails.

The roads where I live are worse than washboard the sport would have been jackhammer rough and I knew I would not have the cash to upgrade suspension anytime soon. That is why I bought the OR.

I agree with what you are saying and will beat on a personal dead horse. The Sport with the swaybar delete is a completely different animal.

TRD Sport is 90% of an OR and depending on config can be better. Saying it sucks ass is a bitxh move.

    1. Would have considered it. I was upgrading suspension and tires & wheels day 1.
    2. TRD OR was in stock and dealership met my offer.
    3. Only TRD SP had chrome bumper. Could have gone the other way.

Cab configuration(AC) and MT meant more to me than a locker. I can always add a locker.
If Toyota made a reg cab V6 MT only in a Sport, that's what I would have bought.

These threads always go depending on the wave of initial posters. Seriously. If sport guys get in the first shots it's pro sport. This one started out brigaded by OR guys, so here we are. 10 straight posts by one model or the other will swing it though.
