This time change shit is so fucking stupid. We invented electric lighting like, 200 years ago? We can see in the dark to fuck shit up early in the morning. No longer necessary.

I dunno... it was kinda nice only doing two time changes on this last crossing between HI and the mainland. I only have sixteen time changes to go til I'm off the boat :)

Dawn at 3:30 AM and dusk at 8:45 PM in the summer would suck ass. I much prefer the 4:30 AM (still too fucking early) and the 9:50 PM (that's more like it) that DST provides in the summer.

For the whiny bitches that can't handle the time shift, I guess I would be alright with moving it up to DST and just leaving it there year round. Of course, dawn at 8:17 AM is pretty crappy, but having dusk run to nearly 6:00 PM would be better. I've traveled enough over the years across multiple time zones for work that adjusting to what the clock says is easy.

(clearly not a morning person......) .

Gotta agree with everything said here... especially after having been up north where dark never really happens.

Hey Dain join the 4Runners of Washington Facebook page if you’re not on there already, seems like someone is always selling some. And then leave the group immediately after finding some because it’s super annoying

Going to re-gear to 5.29’s with front locker. Is there any good shops to go? Along with ones to stay away. Located in Spanaway but will travel.

Buying a complete front diff or just ring and pinion? If doing a complete it's an easy job to diy.

Just the ring and pinion, if I can buy the complete front and rear diffs I’d go that route

5.29s? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone going that gear (that doesn’t mean anything of course haha).

What makes you go with those? Just genuinely curious

They're becoming the preferred gears for 3rd gens on 35s at least. Apparently they work better in conjunction with our 6speed since the 4th and 5th gear are basically 2 overdrives. I plan doing them later in the future.

I'm not sure what's worse, one lump sum time change or a bunch of little ones. I used to fly to/from Egypt regularly and it was rough for the days after. Of course, sailing east to get there on the ship meant losing an hour ever other night for weeks. Sailing west is a lot nicer. The ship I'm on now is downright civil... we do our clock advances during the work day and our clock retarding at night, but we're faster too. At 20+kts we would have to do time changes every day with at least one or two days of multiple hour changes if we were going all the way across the Pacific. The other aggravating one was the dateline, we seemed to always skip Sunday which is the traditional day off on board. Of course, a day off just means 8 hours of work instead of 12.

So for all those who complain about DST, sorry, but there's no sympathy from me :p

I've been here since Netherlands Sunday time (10 hr flight, 9 hour time change) is brutal on the sleep cycle and food cycle and restroom cycle....
