Should be up now. Yeah it was an interesting feeling. Almost felt like I had failed not trying to save it. But Michigan winters weren't kind to it and I think it was for the best.

What's left on the 4Runner that you didn't take?

I didn't take the AC blower, rear windows, steering rack, windshield, steering wheel/column, and any trim that got badly damaged (my buddy broke the front oh shit handles trying to get their stripped bolts off). The rear axle went to the crusher but it didn't have a locker and had seen some shit. The front suspension components all got crushed to make sure that my buddy didn't get his nice trailer scratched up dragging the 4Runner onto it. The gas tank is sitting in my driveway with 18.5 gallons of gas because I'm an idiot and just never drained it. That gas is from a fill up in February. Could've filled my Tacoma up with that.

Overall anything that was left was more trouble than it was worth or had too much corrosion to be reused or sold.

With the trailer leaving tomorrow morning I was in a bit of a rush. I got out of class at 11am and started pulling everything off so we could be at the yard by 3:30 and have time to wait in line. I also loaded a Dodge Magnum 5.9 and exploded transmission/transfer case my roommate had sitting around in the back with the 5VZ. A couple of things were definitely left that probably could've been pulled in a minute or two. I'm just surprised that I stripped it this far in just a few hours.

Nah I loaded both to be scrapped. I stripped it down pretty good before that. I've sold the starter and alternator and have had some interest in the throttle body. Listing the part out locally resulted in a bunch of people thinking it was a running and driving vehicle which is really annoying.

Unrelated but I also rolled back the odometer and listed it on ebay.

Did they give you money for the 4Runner?

$210 for everything. A chunk of that was the 5.9/extra stuff but I still made ~$150 in scrap alone on a 4Runner that cost me $400.

Haha man, Pick-n-Pull offered me $75 for my stripped 5-Lug. If I kept the truck intact (running and driving mind you, just a bad registration), they would've offered like $200.

I no longer have a functional vehicle for the time being. Class is only 1.5 miles away so not bad with a bike.

Point of no return. The transmission shop closed before I could get the trans dropped so I’m bringing both in the morning.

Did you get the output shaft out of the A340F?

My buddy is taking it apart right now. I’m working on the last top transmission bolt. Also should probably order a trans filter.

Yes! Get a new strainer. You’ll also need some FIPG.

I have orange and black Toyota FIPG. I guess orange is what I use?
