I would think so. Getting some Falkens put on Saturday! The stock Goodyear Wranglers lasted til 45k and weren't the greatest in the snow here in MN.

Out of Toyota service, went with Discount Tire Direct for a good price and Discount tire shops will do lifetime (tire) rotations.

Unfortunately one stock tire developed a bulge so they gotta go before Black Friday sales. Still a decent price!

Yep, OR has a "brake booster" I think.

"Your pickup truck is meant to haul heavy equipment and large quantities of materials. It needs proper stopping power to halt such brawn, which is why a Toyota Tacoma brake power booster is an addition to your truck that's well worth it."

You will like the Falkens. I have 23K miles on mine and they have been great. They certainly aren't MT's, but otherwise no issues.

I thought the brake booster is more for Atrac use than anything else. Useful to keep you from spinning a wheel in that spilled milkshake. in the drive-through.

I went OR for the features, different gearing, brake booster for towing, rear locker to get outta the sh*t, skids for protection, suspension to soak up the wonderful potholed roads here in MN, black fender flares to get beat up.

Sure it came with chrome bumper caps, plastidip'd Em black and they look real nice with the fenders, can always slap on a air dam to gain MPG. I like the black better than color matched + no tech pkg with 4+ extra sensors that'll cost me $$$ to replace.

Suspension is a little soft for city/road but feels great off-road. Gets some nose-dive in traffic.

16" wheels mean I can bump into stuff and not worry about banging the rims.

Would a good scoop make my truck look great and not vibrate due to good glue separation? Sure would!

    To each his own!

In most cases, guys repsoonding with 1 sentence have nothing to say and just spewing troll.

Responses are most useful when the person provides their explanation, on what helped them decide, or what considerations they weighed.

Brakes, locker, suspension are top considerations as well as hood, tires and availability of bed/cab/tran combos not found in OR.

I'm just south of ya in Iowa so we know winter ain't a joke! I'm thinking the stocks won't be that great. I'm tempted to just bite the bullet on a set before winter. Did you go with stock size?

As you depress the brake pedal, your pedal linkage causes a shaft to move forward in response to your foot, and as this shaft moves forward, it interacts with the brake booster and master cylinder. The brake booster contains a diaphragm that separates its interior into two parts, with both in a partial vacuum. As the brake pedal is depressed, it causes a valve inside the booster to open, which in turn allows air into one side of the booster. This difference in pressure on one side helps to push the piston inside the brake master cylinder forward in response to the brake pedal, which in turn slows and stops your vehicle.

A brake booster increases the force the brake pedal exerts on the brake master cylinder by using engine vacuum and pressure. Without a brake booster, even the simple act of slowing your truck would require substantially higher amounts of effort and incur greater amounts of fatigue. The brake booster does not brake your vehicle for you, it simply offers a helping hand.

Discount Tire Direct online or their shop through eBay you can probably get a screaming deal around Black Friday!

Yeah i didn't want to deal with getting a 5th since my spare is good. No lift and rigid mudguards so between those things I stayed stock. Mostly due to long commute for MPG/low tire weight and not buying/mounting a 5th for the spare.

Glad I found the bulge in the tire, I was gonna ride out the winter but then I checked the tread and was at 4/32. Happy to get them on for the winter, they have a ton of good reviews for snow/wet conditions. The stocks I wasn't really happy with in heavy rain either.

    True I'm thinking staying stock.

Mine only have 1500 miles so I think I could sell them pretty decent priced.

The Sport has the traditional vacuum style booster you are describing but the Off Road and Pro have the upgraded electro booster/mc unit that does work the A-TRAC or Crawl Control Systems.

To be fair, I'm not sure how many people on here use their truck as a truck, period. Haha.

9/10 times A-TRAC walks me right through. There has to be an ideal locker situation or a pucker factor involved for me to lock it normally.

265/75r16 with no issue. Unless your doing trails that are known to be rough, a good tire in that size can get you far.

    This.
Yes Sir Dangle, you are correct.

Also, by page 4 or 5, some jackhole usually says something like: "Just get a Pro and you get the best of both!"

And that "some jackhole" is me.
