Someone here on TW did a great right up on the timing belt/water pump swap and included all the special tools they used along the way. Anyone happen to have the link (it's not in the sticky, tried using site search and google search)?

Do you have to make a log in to see it? I clicked the link and can't. That's a hell of a deal though I'll buy for sure

Someone posted it up on TW a few hours ago. I'm always dragging my 100lb tool bag into my truck on trips so hopefully this'll save me the hassle minus having to bring my torque wrench and a few other things.

Ya it's weird the link takes you to the home page for some reason. Just type 165 piece Craftsman Mechanics kit into the search and it'll pop up. I checked out as a guest so no need to register

Stupid question probably, but where do you guys store tools in your truck? I tried jamming a small tool kit behind the rear seats of the DC but that only fits the smallest of small tool kits. While we have a shell on the truck not a huge fan of leaving them in the bed.

That's the super-secret access cab compartment right?

Also, something that the DCs don't have, unless I just haven't found it right?

Hmm okay, right now when I work on the truck I just take my tool kits. We have a shitty small kit that actually does manage to fit behind the seats buts thats all of the storage.

My drug compartment has a few random tools (leatherman, screwdrivers and pliers) recovery straps, shackles and zip ties, no real room for tools. I just throw my tool kit behind the seat when I need it. My buddy has that craftsman set and says it fits perfectly under the passenger seat though

The one on sale fits under the passenger seat?!? Also wonder why the DC rear seats can't fold forward and have the same compartment access.

Indeed it does, I think I actually miss the in cab storage of my 2nd gen access cab. Since in the access cab I never really planned on having passengers the rear area was thus "in cab storage extravaganza space", with the DC we actually use the rear seats as seats so can't use the seat/floor as storage (I guess as long as its in bags and easily moved to the bed it's feasible, just not ideal).

That's pretty awesome, I can't imagine the seats are that different between the AC and DC. Tool kit ordered!
