i also have a button labled something like RSC, cant remember it exactly. is this to disable the rear side curtian bags?

there should be a key switch on the passenger side to turn the air bag from auto on to off

thats really weird, in my 99 and my 09 there was that little key switch right there on the dash, and yeah that other button is just for the side curtain bags

I don't have a key switch to turn it off. Toyota expects you to put child seats in the back seat of the double cabs. There is a weight sensor in the front seat. If the weight is too low, the air bag will not activate.

the key that the other have been talking about is under the vent to the right of the radio.

That's weird that they have "Passenger" twice on there. I'll have to look at my 07.

I'm confused too. I don't know why the double cab would have a key there. Maybe for the family that has triplets

RSCA means Roll Sensing Curtain Airbag I believe, so it's not just the rears. According to Toyota, they can be triggered on a severe tilt angles, so you want to turn them off to prevent them from deploying when off-roading.
