In NC today we are voting on a constitutional amendment that protects the rights of people to hunt, fish and harvest wildlife. Thought it was pretty cool and shows how much support sportsman have down here.

Any recommendations on 223 hunting ammo? Tried the Hornady American Whitetail 60 gr and my gun did not like it. 4" group at 100 yards. 16" barrel with 1:7 twist. I was thinking either 62 gr federal fusion or 64 gr Winchester Powerpoint.

Gun shoots about 1.25" with 55 gr FMJ just for reference.

I personally like Remington core lokt in my .243. Its cheap and reliable and does just what it is supposed to. Have you tried hiw it shoots for you? I was planning on that being the pill of choice for my daughter next year in an ar

True, but it will take PETA and other big lobbyists out of the picture who oppose hunting and fishing.

I have not tried them yet. They worked well in my Remington 742 in .30-06

Love them in my 308. I will have to look for them when I am at the store the next time.

I hand load the 53 grain TSX and have shot the 55 grain TSX in my 16” AR and both ave shot good for me. Remington also loads the 62 grain TSX bullets in their Hog Hammer ammo which should shoot good from your 1:7 twist barrel.

I've run the Core-Lokt for years in my guns, but I'm old school and am usually carrying something fast & heavy like an '06 for longer distance, or slow & even heavier like my .35 Rem for brush hunting. The reviews that I've read on the Deer Season cartridges are that they do an amazing job of expanding, even in the smaller, faster cartridges like a .223

Bout right! I found an old skid trail that had 25+ scrapes on it! Some werent worked very much but a few were decent. I dont think its all one buck? or could it be one? Most Ive ever seen in one spot around here. Ive seen one or two here and there but not this many in one spot. any input?
