    Taco was 2wd and I wanted something new with 4x4 or awd, i get 28 mpg city and got 34mpg driving to colorado and back fully loaded with my bike gear, bike rack and bike in the back

    I get that. I went from a Ford Ranger 2wd to two first gen Taco prerunners to finally my first gen Tundra 4wd. Luckily the 4.7L gets pretty.much the same mileage as the 3.4L in my 03 DC (15-20mpg) which is kinda shitty for a medium v6 but great for a small v8. Gotta love the vvti and 5spd auto. Plus the exptra power is nice.

    I don’t know wtf subaru is doing, but I drove a 2017 legacy with a 2.5 cvt and it was a dog compared to my wife’s 2012 outback 2.5 cvt. Checked the specs, and even they say the acceleration numbers have gone backwards. The 12 outback responds quickly to throttle, whereas the 17 legacy had very delayed response, and when the response came, it was much worse.
